Titus 2:11-15....
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.”...................... God’s grace toward us is based solely on his love and our total inability to meet God’s standards.
God’s grace is a gift we do not deserve and cannot earn.
Without God’s grace, there can be no salvation since grace is foundational to salvation.
The verb appeared is similar to Luke 1:79 “To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.”
God’s Grace has appeared in the form of a man....John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
Jesus revealed the Love of God in the flesh!
The Grace is given through the life and complete work of Jesus Christ!
The continual operation of God’s grace in the lives of Christians is one of Paul’s strongest aspirations for the churches,
Therefore it is not unusual for Paul to have stated that God’s grace “teaches us”
The Grace of God toward us, teaches us........1 Thessalonians 4:9 “But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.”
How we live in this world, how we treat one another in this world, how we abstain from ungodliness!
I believe once you have believed in Jesus, as you receive the Holy Spirit it brings all the things that Jesus taught to our remembrance!
But if you learn of Jesus then you are taught how to live through Jesus’ life, but more importantly understanding the grace of God through Christ you:
Know of God’s way of righteousness
Our way of unrighteousness
The way of love that God has demonstrated through His Son
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
This is the love of God!!
All of this information is revealed by knowing Jesus,
1 John 2:24-29.......
Verse 27..... “But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true.
For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie.
So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.”
