How Can We Recognize We Are Being Led By The Spirit?

The Fruit (Personality) Of The Spirit
Inner conviction and confirmation:
Gal 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Love - 2 Cor. 5:14 “For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died;”
A man who chooses to do what he loves will never work another day in his life.
Love never fails. You want to be unstoppable. Do it in love.
Worship team that practices, travels and sacrifices to worship the Lord.
Love will enable you to do things fear never will.
You’ll fight for, stand for, sacrifice for them. It’ll bother you when it isn’t done right.
Joy - Matt 25:21, 23 “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’”
Biblical joy is choosing to respond to external circumstances with inner contentment and satisfaction, because we know that God will use these experiences to accomplish His work in and through our lives.
Everybody dies, not everybody lives.
Activity that energizes
We are to count it all joy when we go through things.
Peace - Col 3:15 “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.” Php 4:7
Peace is a commodity. People sacrifice it for more, bigger, approval
Inner witness - Romans 8:16 “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,”
Lines up with God’s Word - Revelation 19:10 ....For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
Godly counsel - Proverbs 15:22; 11:14; 24:6
Counsel is only good if you are willing to listen.
Be careful when going against our closest counsel.
After you have done the will of God - Hebrews 10:36 “For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.”
