This is a prophetic year and a pivotal year for us to enter into based in the Jewish calendar 5783
BREAKTHROUGH, SHIFT & DOORS: 5783 - 2023 THE ERA OF THE PATRIARCHS!
BREAKTHROUGH, SHIFT & DOORS: 5783 - 2023 THE ERA OF THE PATRIARCHS!
The Hebrew word for Breakthrough is pârats meaning to break out, make a breach, break forth, burst out, spread abroad, increase, and open. Many prophetic voices have spoken over the years about SHIFTING, DOORS, CROSSOVER, AND BREAKTHROUGH. These are words we have heard repeatedly that may need clarification for some. Breakthrough is related to spiritual barriers that God destroys that hinder our progress. Shift describes movement God initiates that we may occupy a new position in the spirit that manifests in the natural. Doors and crossing over represent the opening of new and effective spheres of opportunity providing us with the choice to go through.
TRANSCENDENT EXCELLENCE.
Transcendent means exceeding usual limits: surpassing, extending or lying beyond the limits of ordinary experience. BEING BEYOND THE LIMITS OF ALL POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE.
Pastor Troy Brewer, OpenDoor Church, Burleson, TX
WHAT IS GOD SPEAKING THROUGH 83
83 – Pey (mouth) Gimmel (camel)
Gimmel means “lift up” as a camel lifts up one who rides it. Bears burdens in the desert places.
Root word G’mul dual meaning: the choice between blessing OR curses; justice or judgment
(God’s justice is when all things are made right. The widow has a home, the orphan…)
MOUTH SPEAKING WORDS TO BLESS OR CURSE; TO SET FREE OR TO JUDGE; TO LIFT UP AND BEAR BURDENS OR TO CAST DOWN AND REFUSE TO HELP.
IT IS LITERALLY OUR CHOICE – THIS IS A “VALLEY OF DECISION YEAR.” DO YOU WANT JUSTICE OR JUDGMENT? EACH OF US MUST DECIDE.
MOSES AND AARON TELL PHARAOH TO “LET THE HEBREWS GO” OUT FROM UNDER THE BURDEN OF BONDAGE. PHARAOH IN VALLEY OF DECISION SPEAKS CURSES.
Strong’s Greek 83 – adelotes: uncertainty; quality of being unseen or disappearing; indefiniteness
1 Timothy 6:17 – Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
83 JUSTICE IN A DAY OF PERSECUTION
1. A PRAYER FOR JUSTICE IN A DAY OF PERSECUTION
Psalm 119:83 – For I have become like a wineskin in smoke, Yet I do not forget Your statutes.
PRAYER FOR JUSTICE DURING OPPRESSION
Psalm 83:1-3 – Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God!
2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
God Wants to Speak to You!

The Lord says where there has been injustice will be reversed into his justice- Prophet Clyde Lewis
The Lord says that you will war with his justice, and not your own justice Eph 6:11-12 “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we* are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”
Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord,* for this is the right thing to do. “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.”*
Fathers,* do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.
Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart. Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free.
Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we* are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.* In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.* Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.*
And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.* I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.
To bring you up to date, Tychicus will give you a full report about what I am doing and how I am getting along. He is a beloved brother and faithful helper in the Lord’s work. I have sent him to you for this very purpose—to let you know how we are doing and to encourage you.
Peace be with you, dear brothers and sisters,* and may God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you love with faithfulness. May God’s grace be eternally upon all who love our Lord Jesus Christ.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 ““Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.””
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore, you shall choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding closely to Him; for He is your life [your good life, your abundant life, your fulfillment] and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the Lord promised (swore) to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.””

Opening : Power to Heal, Power to Destroy
In the book of Deuteronomy, we read of Moses speaking to the nation of Israel about this reality: “I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19). When Moses says, “life and death,” he is not referring to killing people physically. He means they can choose to bring blessing or destruction through their choices, and that would include their choice of words.
AGreek philosopher once invited some very influential and powerful guests to his home for dinner two nights in a row. He told them he was going to provide them with the best possible meal on the first night and the worst possible meal on the second night.
When his guests arrived, the servant set before them a meal of smothered tongue. The guests asked why this would be considered the best possible meal.
The philosopher replied, “The tongue is what we use to bless peo- ple, communicate happiness, dispel sorrow, and remove despair. We also use it to help the fainthearted, inspire the discouraged, and uplift all mankind. The tongue is the best possible meal.”
The next night the guests returned to the philosopher’s home for dinner, this time expecting the worst possible meal. Yet once again the servants brought out smothered tongue. The guests were curious why the same entrée was served twice, and they asked how it could be so.
The philosopher replied, “With the tongue we break hearts, bring
curses, destroy reputations, promote discord, induce strife, and set wars in motion.”
In other words, you can use the very same thing to do good or to do evil. The same tool holds the power to do it all.
You and I were created by God with access to an internal, explosive power that can construct or destroy.
This morning I want to talk about the power of choosing.
We often hear that we should choose wisely, but what does that mean? Choosing can be a powerful thing when we remember to do so according to God's will. When guided by the Holy Spirit, our choices become life-giving and can be a source of comfort. They can also help us overcome fears and anxieties. Even in the face of difficult decisions, what we choose matters and will make all the difference in life’s outcomes. Choosing is a powerful tool that we must use with intentionality because our well-being depends on it.
choose life
A. Watch Your Mouth....
The Muscle in Your Mouth
Your greatest enemy is not in your home.
Your greatest enemy is not on your job.
Your greatest enemy is not that person at church who gets on your every last nerve.
Your greatest enemy is in your own mouth. That three-inch muscle in your mouth has more power to destroy your life, and to do it quickly, than anything or anyone else.
Your greatest enemy is in your own mouth.
B. God might not use soap on our tongues to steer us in the right direction concerning this critical source of life or death in our mouths, but He does ask us to use some salt. “Your speech should always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer each person,” writes Paul (Colossians 4:6). Or if you don’t pre- fer salt, He suggests some honey: “Pleasant words are a honeycomb: sweet to the taste and health to the body” (Proverbs 16:24).
Whether you are talking to a family member, a coworker, a clerk at the store, or even to yourself, your words carry the DNA of life or death.
Hell is just waiting for a chance to influence our tongues.
2. Choosing life is in countering God's love.
A. Experiencing God’s love is powerful and leads to greater levels of freedom.
B. The Freedom of God’s Love
God’s Love Transforms You
• The Lord will never withhold Himself from you because of your sin; He wants to draw close to you.
• When you receive a revelation of God’s love through encounters, you also receive a grace for your mind to be transformed.
God’s Love Brings Truth
• God’s love is that of a father and it is available to everyone.
• Lies you believe about your self-worth and value affect your ability to receive God’s
love.
• You cannot work for God’s love because it is a gift.
C. Transforming Your Heart Love Restores You from Lies
• Through encounters in God’s love, you are set free from lies and shame.
• He is never angry with you and will always heal unhealthy places of your heart. Beyond the Veil
• God wants to take you beyond what you see in the natural so that He can transform you supernaturally.
• When God restores your heart, you are brought into true worship.
• You cannot always be taught what you need to know about God; sometimes you
need to experience it.
D. Finishing the Race Well
God Is Committed to Seeing Us Finish Well
A Marathon Rather Than a Sprint
• 2 Timothy 4:7 (NIV)
• 1 Corinthians 9:24 (NKJV)
• Hebrews 12:1 (NKJV)
Freedom to Make the Right Choices
1st Choice: Stay Intimate With Jesus Christ
Choose each day to live out in your true divine identity because when you know your identity, you know your destiny- Clyde Lewis
• Our Christian life all begins with a love relationship in the secret place with the Lord.
• Make time for intimacy with the Lord (John 15:4–5).
• We cannot finish well unless we abide in Jesus.
• To love God with our heart, mind, soul and strength, we must spend time with Him.
2nd Choice: Be Constantly Filled With the Holy Spirit
• We are to be continually filled (Ephesians 5:18).
• Galatians 5:16 (NKJV)
• Many mistakenly believe that once they have encountered the Holy Spirit, there is no more
of Him to be experienced.
• Matthew 5:6 (NIV)
• The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of revelation. Daily receiving the Holy Spirit helps us walk a day
without sin.
3. Choose the blessings
So choose life! You know why our choices matter? Because we matter. God created us as moral agents. He says to us in effect, “You matter so much that, within sovereign boundaries, I’m going to let you choose. Now, there will be consequences for your choices—positive or negative—but you choose.”
A. There's favor in the blessing.
B victory in the blessing
C. Joy in the blessing
D. Protection in the blessing.
B. Blessings bring transformational living.
A. Blessing is a powerful and divine force that can transform your life when you embrace it with Holy Spirit guidance. As Tony Evans has said, "God's blessing is the most powerful force in the universe; it brings transformation." His Holy Spirit can illumine truth and remove the fog of darkness associated with life's struggles. Through Holy Spirit guidance, blessings bring peace of mind and restoration of hope in difficult times. Blessing allows us to express faith over fear, joy over sorrow, and strength to carry on during moments of uncertainty. So tap into Holy Spirit's power and experience the blessings that bring transformational living!
B .When you open your heart to the power of blessings, life takes a higher purpose and brings about meaningful transformation.
C. When you choose the blessing, you are choosing the source, and that is the father God
I love this illustration:
ONE OF the reasons that we don’t recognize the goodness of God is that we confuse the means of delivery with the source. Many times we think that unless a blessing falls miraculously from heaven into our laps that it didn’t come from God. We mix up medium and source. When we listen to the radio, we can do so only because the radio is a method of delivery. There are no drums in the radio. No horns and no guitars reside inside the equipment. The radio is only a conduit—a point of contact. Even when your radio stops working, there’s music in the air. All the radio does is receive a signal that comes from another source and deliver it to you. If you lose sight of that fact, you’ll give the radio more credit than a radio ought to have. If you place too much weight on the medium, you’ll forget the source.45 James 1:17 “Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.”
When you choose the blessings, you were choosing the higher grounds
a. By making wise choices and deciding to take the high road, you can unlock an unending supply of blessings.
4. You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God..
A. We have a powerful choice: to love the Lord with all our hearts, minds and souls. When we do this, He will bless us beyond measure!
B. I love God to obey God this is a daily journey
God’s Love Brings Truth
• God’s love is that of a father and it is available to everyone.
• Lies you believe about your self-worth and value affect your ability to receive God’s
love.
• You cannot work for God’s love because it is a gift.
C. • When you receive God’s love for you, you will be a mighty warrior for the kingdom.
• We need to fill the world with heaven, and heaven is filled with His love.
5. Choose to obey the Lord without analysis and paralysis. - Deut 30:20 “You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.””
In the Hebrew, the word obey, simply means to hear and respond
A. Let's boldly embrace obedience to the Lord and refuse to linger in over-analysis of His commands. Our faith is an act that requires action!
1sam 15:22 “But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.”
B. Obeying the Lord doesn't have to be a complicated decision. When you trust Him and His perfect plan, all that matters is taking steps of faith without overthinking it!
C. Obedience Is Abiding-
john 15:10 “When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.”
Doing the will of God should strengthen you when you do it. There is something nourishing
about doing the will of God.
Obedience is the quickest way to discover and stay connected to His presence. There is something to discover on the other side of radical obedience.
Don’t wait to be inspired to radically obey, just radically obey and you’ll discover.
This is what God was saying to the children of Israel andThis is what God was saying to the children of Israel and Deuteronomy 30:20 “You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.””
6. Your family will be blessed and you live long
A. The Holy Spirit speaks to us through the Word of God, reminding us of the promises that come to those who are devoted to Him. We are told in Deuteronomy 30: 20 NLT that if we love and obey the Lord our God, our family will be blessed and we will live long in the land He swore to give our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That promise is a gift from God specially meant for those faithful to Him. The Holy Spirit serves as a reminder of these blessings that are granted when we seek out His holiness; it acts as an assurance that if we remain steady in our devotion, prove our value through obedience, and profoundly trust in Him—our families will be blessed and we will experience complete favor.
Took : •No matter what life throws at you, the Holy Spirit will sustain and guide you.
• By choosing to accept, submit, and commit yourself to the Holy spirit, your family will be blessed and you can live long in the land promised by the Lord.
• Commitment to God's word is a key factor in obtaining a long and fruitful life.
• With God's promises and Holy Spirit guiding us through our lives, we are able to unlock blessings far beyond our own imaginations; this commitment is crucial for us to receive these blessings
