Mary wasn’t and isn’t the focus of Christmas, but she was certainly center stage as it unfolded
The night Christ was born, Mary & Joseph entertained the most unlikely of visitors: shepherds and sheep telling of an angelic visitation
In Luke 2, the Bible gives us a glimpse of Mary’s inner self
Two words:
Treasured — “Remember”
Treasured — “Remember”
συντηρέω means “to keep” in the memory
συντηρέωb: to exert mental effort in storing information so as to have continual access and use of it—‘to cause oneself to be fully aware of, to keep in mind, to remember.’ ἡ δὲ Μαριὰμ πάντα συνετήρει τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα συμβάλλουσα ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτῆς ‘Mary kept all these things in mind and thought deeply about them’ Lk 2:19. An equivalent of ‘to keep in mind’ may be ‘to keep thinking about’ or ‘to continue to think about’ or even ‘not to stop thinking about.’
We have short memories. Seriously, we’d forget our names if we didn’t hear them all the time
Most of us are like Dory from Finding Nemo
"I suffer from short term memory loss," Dory says to Marlin. "It's true, I forget things almost instantly. It runs in my family. Well, at least I think it does," Dory says.
We remember the wrong things and forget the right
Take cue from Mary and remember—treasure—who Christ is, what he came to do, what he does now

think about seriously, ponder, reflect on
Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament based on Semantic Domains 30.7 συμβάλλω; ἐπιβάλλω
συμβάλλωa; ἐπιβάλλωe: to give careful consideration to various implications of an issue—‘to reflect on, to think about seriously, to think deeply about.’
Reflect on what God has done; i.e., meditate
Meditation is not some eastern-astrology-thing. Meditation is biblical.
