“FINDING C.H.R.I.S.T. IN CHRISTMAS”

Yesterday, we were looking at the name of Christ ,and taking each letter of CHRIST and drawing out some of the different NAMES of Jesus Christ used in the Scripture. We looked at the letter “C” and said that Jesus Christ was a CHILD, born in a manger (Isaiah 9:6, Luke 2:1-14), He was the CREATOR (JOHN 1:1-14, COLOSSIANS 1:13-17), and He is the COUNSELOR who has UNDERSTANDING AND STRENGTH (ISAIAH 9:6, PROV 8:14)
Today we will look at the letter “H” in CHRIST. The Bible says that He is the HOLY ONE........
“But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, And God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness. 17 Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, And the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat. 18 Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, And sin as it were with a cart rope: 19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, That we may see it: And let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, That we may know it! 20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; That put darkness for light, and light for darkness; That put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight! 22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, And men of strength to mingle strong drink: 23 Which justify the wicked for reward, And take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! 24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, And the flame consumeth the chaff, So their root shall be as rottenness, And their blossom shall go up as dust: Because they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 5:16-24
Isaiah 6:1-3 “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: The whole earth is full of his glory.”
Ezek 39:7, “So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel”
Acts 3:11–26 (KJV 1900)
And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering. 12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? 13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. 14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; 15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. 16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. 17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. 18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. 22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. 24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. 25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. 26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
Jesus CHRIST, THE ANNOINTED ONE, THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, IS ... H O L Y....RIGHTEOUS, JUST, PERFECT, WITHOUT SIN, AND PURE.
In the scripture Jesus Christ commands you and I to be HOLY.
Rom 6:22, “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.”
1 Pet 1:15, “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation”
1 Pet 1:16,”Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
How do we become HOLY? The one and only way to become holy is to accept Jesus Christ, the Holy One, as your personal Savior, and receive His Holiness, His righteousness. So, are YOU HOLY? Have you accepted the Holy One , Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord?
