The Shepherds

Luke 2:8 NIV
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.
Luke 2:14 KJV 1900
Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, Good will toward men.
Luke 2:14 NIV
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
“There is glory for God in highest heaven,
and on earth there is peace among the people whom God has favored.”
You can find peace (wholeness) when you find the baby.
You can find peace if you are one of God’s favored people.
Luke 1:28 NIV
The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
Luke 1:38 NIV
“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.
God’s favored people are the ones who hear his call—and answer in faith.
Luke 2:15 NIV
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
