I want to be very clear and straightforward with you this morning: In spite of everything that has happened over the past few years; in spite of how difficult things have been and continue to be; in spite of the evil that seems to surround us, WE STILL HAVE HOPE! As we near the end of the Advent season and approach Christmas, may we be reminded that the reason Jesus came was to save us. The reason Jesus came was to rescue us. The reason Jesus came was to offer us life everlasting. That is our hope! Not because we deserve it, but because of God’s amazing grace.
Titus 2:11-14For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.”

Grace saves us.

Grace teaches us how to live.

Because of the past and future.
