The Gospel Message, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

1 Corinthians 15:3–4 ESV
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,
It is the message by which we are saved, 1 Corinthians 15:2
1 Corinthians 15:2 (ESV)
and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain (εἰκῇ).
Without an object
Witnessed by over five hundred men, 1 Corinthians 15:5-6
1 Corinthians 15:5–6 ESV
and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.
The necessity to die for our sins, Genesis 2:17
Genesis 2:17 ESV
but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
Dying you will die
The importance of resurrection, Romans 4:25
Romans 4:25 ESV
who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.
Without the resurrection our preaching is in vain, 1 Corinthians 15:14
1 Corinthians 15:14 (ESV)
And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain (κενὴ).
Vain is that which is empty
We would be found to be false witnesses if Christ was not raised, 1 Corinthians 15:15
1 Corinthians 15:15 ESV
We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised.
Without the resurrection we are still in our sins, 1 Corinthians 15:17
1 Corinthians 15:17 (ESV)
And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile (ματαία) and you are still in your sins.
ματαία - that which has not value, produces nothing
Christ did raise from the dead, 1 Corinthians 15:20-22
1 Corinthians 15:20–22 ESV
But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
A message that contains the inherent ability to save, Romans 1:16
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of the Christ, for it is the inherent ability of God unto salvation to all the ones who believe, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
By Grace Through Faith, Ephesians 2:8
Ephesians 2:8 (ESV)
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not out from you, it is the gift of God,
This gift of faith through grace is not out from - not sourced from - us
Grace is God’s attitude by which He gives a benefit without consideration
God’s grace has appeared unto all, Titus 2:11
Titus 2:11 ESV
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people,
Christ is the one who first revealed the grace of God - John 1:17 “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
God Desires that all are saved, 1 Timothy 2:4
1 Timothy 2:4 ESV
who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
God did not determine that any would perish, 2 Peter 3:9
2 Peter 3:9 (ESV)
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not determining (βουλόμενός) that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
No one is pre-selected for salvation. Election does not relate to salvation but to a position within salvation
Faith is taking God at His Word, Hebrews 11:1
Hebrews 11:1 ESV
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Faith is the substance of that which is hoped for, the conviction of accomplished deeds not seen
Faith requires a promise - it is the substance of that which is hoped for
Faith is not presumption
A willingness to take a risk based upon a presumption.
Misuse of Scripture - the truth will set you free as speaking the truth
What Must We Do to Be Saved?
With the heart the word of faith is believed because of righteousness, Romans 10:10
Romans 10:10 ESV
For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
The righteousness by Christ, Romans 10:4
Romans 10:4 ESV
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Not a righteousness from Law, Romans 10:5
Romans 10:5 ESV
For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them.
The righteousness out from faith, Romans 10:6-8
Romans 10:6–8 (ESV)
Romans 10:6–8 ESV
But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down) “or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);
But the righteousness out from faith in this way says, “Do not say in your heart, who will ascend into the heaven?” That is, to bring down Christ. Or who will descend into the abyss?” That is, to raise Christ out from dead. But what does it say? The utterance is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the utterance of the faith, which we proclaim,
With the mouth agreement concerning the word of faith is made because of salvation, Romans 10:10
Romans 10:10
For with the heart it [the utterance of faith] is believed because of righteousness, and with the mouth it [the utterance of faith] is verbally agreed upon because of salvation.
The Word of Faith is that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
1 Corinthians 15:3–4 ESV
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

The Convicting Work of the Holy Spirit , John 16:8

John 16:8 ESV
And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment:
Concerning sin, because they do not believe, John 16:9
John 16:9 ESV
concerning sin, because they do not believe in me;
Conviction is an act of fully persuading someone based upon the truth
People perish today because they do not believe in Christ, John 3:15-16
John 3:15–16 ESV
that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Christ is a propitiation for all sins, 1 John 2:2
1 John 2:2 ESV
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
Concerning righteousness because Christ goes to the Father, John 16:10
John 16:10 ESV
concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer;
Christ was raised and seated at the right hand of God, Acts 5:31
Acts 5:31 ESV
God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
After offering a sacrifice for sin, Hebrews 10:12
Hebrews 10:12 ESV
But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,
Resurrected because of our justification, Romans 4:25
Romans 4:25 ESV
who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.
Concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged, John 16:11
John 16:11 ESV
concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
Satan has already lost
Christ resurrection stripped Satan of his authority over death, Hebrews 2:14
Hebrews 2:14
Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he should render ineffective (καταργήσῃ) the one who has the might (κράτος) of death, that is, the devil,
