Christ is Born

Introduction: God made a covenant to gather the people of Israel to Himself and deliver them from their enemies. Jesus was born to bring light and life to people who lived in darkness (sin), to redeem them and bring them into His kingdom prepared for them.
Mary’s Song of Praise

And Mary said:
“My soul magnifies the Lord,
And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant;
God Blesses the poor
Psalm 136:23 NKJV
Who remembered us in our lowly state, For His mercy endures forever;
Luke 10:21 (NKJV)
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.
For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
For He who is mighty has done great things for me,
And holy is His name.
Prophecy fulfillment Isa. 7:14
Isaiah 7:14 NKJV
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
I. Mary’s Spiritual Encounter with Christ.
A. Souls are filled with Joy of the Lord. Nothing can fill us like the Love of Jesus.
B. This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it Ps.118:24
Great Things He has done for me. I will worship His Holy Name. Praise the Lord!
C. How much Honor and Praise are we willing to give to Jesus?
Being Obedient to Christ and doing His Will.
Life Application: The Family of God
Matthew 12:50 NKJV
For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
One of the joy’s of Christmas is being connected to your family.
Some have dis-connected and severed themselves from their loved ones.
Some rebelled because of harsh treatment from their parents. Outcasts & ostricized
Redeeming Grace is forgiving sin and letting go of it.
Luke 1:50 NKJV
And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation.
