So far we have looked at Wonderful Counselor and this child that was to be born for us. We saw how this baby would be the one that can guild us. He will be the one right there for you. This name means Wonder of a Cousellor. We are all in need of a person to lead and guild us. That is was Jesus does for us. He is your Wonderful Counselor.

This child that would die for us is our Hero that will never go anywhere. He was here for the beginning of time and will be here to the end of time. He is the one you can rely on for anything.
Last week we looked at Everlasting Father. What does everlasting mean. It hard to wrap our minds around something that is everlasting. Everlasting will even end. Jesus is here to stay and will not be going anywhere. Even if you think he has going he is still here. N matter what we face in life, we can trust that we have already begun to experience the rule of an everlasting King: this can give us comfort.
This week we will be talk about our last name Price of Peace.
Before we dive into today passage. Its take moment to think on this question.

How do you find peace?

What do you look for to find peace?
When was the last time you completed something that you had invested a lot of time and energy into? yard work or gradening.
How did you feel initially?
After the dust settled, how did you feel then?
Do you still feel that way about it now?
Isaiah 9:6 CSB
6 For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Just like Isaiah’s audience,

We all struggle to find peace

No matter what we are going through. Each and everyone of us wrestles to find peace in our lives. This stems from our desire to find it on our own. Let me let you in on a little secret. You will always struggle to find will peace on your own.
.But the person who bears the name Prince of Peace in Isaiah 9:6 can be seen as establishing peace both in the world at large and in the individual person.
Philippians 4:7 CSB
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Peace or shalom

This two words that are the same can alone happen when God is present. Yes, you can find short term peace. In order to find true peace you must have a right relationship with God. This relationship help you see the light when the dark world come crashing down. It help you to not forget what The Prince of Peace did for you. You relationship with the father and his son is key to finding true peace.

Jesus is the key

Jesus is the Prince of peace. He came to this world to bridge the gape of sin. With out Jesus we can not have true peace. He is the one that can guide us to find peace. He also us to follow him so we get lost in the darkness. He is the way the truth and the life. He is the light of the world.
Isaiah 9:2–7 CSB
2 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness. 3 You have enlarged the nation and increased its joy. The people have rejoiced before you as they rejoice at harvest time and as they rejoice when dividing spoils. 4 For you have shattered their oppressive yoke and the rod on their shoulders, the staff of their oppressor, just as you did on the day of Midian. 5 For every trampling boot of battle and the bloodied garments of war will be burned as fuel for the fire. 6 For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. 7 The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the Lord of Armies will accomplish this.

Jesus is the light to Israel and the world

Isaiah knew that peace was not simple to find. He knew that peace would never come by way of battle. O there would be temper peace but not everlasting peace. Isaiah gave Israel this prophecy so they could know peace was coming at some point. It doesn’t stop there peace has come for us. You do not have to wait for it. It’s here.

We all long for peace in our lives

peace in our relationships, peace in our jobs, peace in our hearts.
Jesus has come to bring all of those to forefront and assureus that it is real and will be real forever. Even while we may endure hardship for this season we call life, the presence of Jesus now —and the moments we ca nsense him—point us to an eternity that will bring all things to completion.
Application Point: Jesus is our Prince of Peace. He is the peace we seek, and he provides the peace we need. We live in light of that peace in the present as we learn to be shaped by it and prepare for the future when it will be all we know.

Will you allow Jesus to be your Prince of Peace?
