Royalty Reimagined
This Christmas season we celebrate the birth of a king.
But why?
We don’t celebrate the birth of leaders decades later, not to mention centuries or millennia later.
So why this king?
What’s so different?
We’ll let me tell you about the difference between their king and my King!
Their kings are born in a palace of gold and silver… my king was born into a manger of wood and hay
Their kings are announced to the leaders of countries… mine was announced to the leaders of sheep
Their king was son of generations of kings… my King is the son of the King of Generations!
Their kings have palaces and castles… my king has no place to lay his head
Their kings die a dignified death in their bed… my king died a humiliating death on MY cross
Their kings are above the law… and my king came to fulfill it
Their king have servants, mine came to serve
Theirs address the people, mine ministers to them
Theirs have armies and mine left His at home!
But Friends… oh friends…
Their kings rule over 1… my King reigns over all!
Their kings die… and MY.
KING.
LIVES!
Their kingdom ends… and MY KING IS COMING!
Let us worship the King!
