After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.”

V.49 Thought it was a Ghost

“belief that spirits of the night brought disaster is illustrated by a tradition preserved in the Talmud: “Rabbah said, Seafarers told me that the wave that sinks a ship appears with a white fringe of fire at its crest, and when stricken with clubs on which is engraven, ‘I am that I am, Yah, the Lord of Hosts, Amen, Amen, Selah,’ it subsides.”¹²²
They saw him walking
Matthew 14:28-33 ““Lord, if it’s you,” Peter answered him, “command me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come.” And climbing out of the boat, Peter started walking on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the strength of the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand, caught hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” When they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those in the boat worshiped him and said, “Truly you are the Son of God.””

Do you fear your current storm?
Do you fear the coming storms?
Do you lack faith?
Trusting Jesus during the storms of life while it may seem superficial and a catchy tagline. Do just say it because it sounds cool. Say it because that is what we are called to do. If you truly trust Jesus for the salvation of your soul upon death you have to have courage to trust him with your present circumstances in this life. That mean in the stormy times and the calm.
