JESUS IN THE MIDDLE
Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.
IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. IN THE MIDDLE OF A STORM.
JESUS WANTS TO GET INTO THE MIDDLE OF YOUR LIFE
PRINCIPLE HIDDEN:
JESUS IS MOST TIMES IN THE UNREHEARSED, UNSCRIPTED, DARK, OBSCURE, UNSEEN MIDDLE!
Middle looks like the storm *the only way to slow you down Middle of my mess, marriage, anger, offense, victory
THE MAJORITY OF OUR LIVES ARE LIVED IN THE MIDDLE
THE MIDDLE IS THE MOST NEGLECTED AREA OF OUR FAITH
WHAT DOES THE MIDDLE OF YOUR LIFE LOOK LIKE?
DEFINE:
MIDDLE IS ANYthing that CREATES CONFUSION AND DETACHMENT FROM THE PRIORITY OF HIS PRESENCE
be careful not to allow rest to become your middle and miss His presence.
1. ENCOURAGE :
PAY ATTENTION TO THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK
WHEN SUNDAY IS OVER
Pay attention when the lights and cameras are gone.
When there is no stage or crowds! OR WORSHIP TEAM, OR PASTOR.
2. ENCOURAGE:
TAKE YOUR TIME AND ENJOY THE MIDDLE
STOP ROWING SO HARD TO GET TO JESUS…YOU MIGHT BE ROWING AWAY FROM HIM
NEW RULE: THIS IS GONNA BE FUN!
THE PRESENCE OF JESUS IS LIBERATING AND FULL OF JOY
3. ENCOURAGE:
SURRENDER THE DELUSION OF SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT WITH JESUS
LEADERS: Repent of the delusion and unrealistic pressure to fabricate Jesus
FOLLOWERS: REPENT OF MAKING JESUS SHOW UP AT THE APPOINTED TIMES THAT ARE MOST CONVENIENT FOR US.
4. ENCOURAGE:
PROTECT YOUR PEACE
*GETTING TO CHURCH CUSSING EACH OTHER OUT.
“IS’NT IT INTERESTING HOW THE ENEMY USES OUR PURSUIT OF JESUS TO DESTROY OUR PEACE”
THE ENEMY WANTS YOUR DEVOTION TO BE OBLIGATION
CONCLUSION:
JESUS IS THE DESTINATION
NOT SUNDAY
NOT SERVICE TO HIM
NOT SONGS TO HIM
NOT SERMONS OF HIM
NOT SACRIFICE FOR HIM
HIM…HE IS THE DESTINATION.
JESUS, I INVITE YOU INTO THE MIDDLE OF MY SEA, MY DARKNESS, MY STORM.
AFTERTHOUGHT:
JESUS LOVES YOU SO MUCH HE ISOLATED YOU IN AN OCEAN OF DARKNESS WITH A STORM.
Develop the courage to test the waters next time Jesus is around
