Joy to the World History

The first collaborator was the English poet and dissenting clergyman, Isaac Watts(1674-1748)

It is based off of Psalm 98

Psalm 98 NIV
A psalm. Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations. He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the Lord, the King. Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy; let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

God Gets Excited When We Succeed

When we do something well God I believe is cheering us on

The Joy of the World is Christ

The reason why we can have this Relationship, this joy is because God sent His Son
Romans 8:14–19 NIV
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
Romans 5:10 NIV
For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

God Wanted Us

Maybe today or at some point, or maybe someday
You felt like God was more of a cold, distant God
or God didn’t care about you when you messed up
or God is just waiting for you to mess up
THIS is for you,
God Loves you
He cares for you
and He is excited for you
