The book of Numbers gives us the story of Israel's exodus from oppression in Egypt and their journey to take possession of the land God promised their fathers.

When we look at our text this morning we see that the lord has told moses to Choose a group of men to send to send into the promise land to scout out the land.
God tells moses to Choose one man who is a LEADER FROM each ancestral tribe, to go into the land I have promised the Israelites to spy on the land
and so moses choose these men under the impression that because they were leaders, that this would be a task that they would be able to handle
so moses gathers these men together // and
he says I want you to see what the land is like.
whether the people who live there are strong or weak.
how many people are there?
is the land they live in Good or bad
Are the cities in the open or do they have a barrier surrounding them
God told Moses to send the men but Moses gives them directions on what to be on the look out for.
and what God was teaching moses was the power of a well developed planned.
and alot of us are fighting the strong man of discouragement because we are trying to move into what God said with an under developed plan.
You want a business, but you wont write a business plan
You want better credit, but you keep make new bills
and when you this YOLO perspective and try to figure it out as you go,
and what happens is,
because you did not properly prepare
when get to cannan, you run the risk of not being prepared to fight what waiting to fight you.
and so he understood the power of being prepared.
so right before He send them off he tells them to be courageous, and bring back some fruit from the land
now its interesting that Moses reminds the chosen leaders to be courageous.
that word courageous means to not be deterred by danger.//to not be deterred by fear.
he said this because // moses understood that this assignment was not just for anybody // this wasnt something for the weak at heart
this assignment would require people who were not afraid of the unknown
it would require people who had enough faith to believe in something that they had never seen before
Moses understood that the assignment would required
a group of individuals who shared the same vision as him.
Because he understood if you cant see what I see, if you can see the vision god has given me// then you cant be apart of this team // because where there are multiple visions, there will eventually be division.
where there is more than one agenda,
more than one plan// and more than more one vision,
. you run the risk of getting hit by a strong attack because we don’t see the same thing
but i believe God is send people in this season that will see it with you.
But look at somebody and say , we gotta see the same thing
and so their perspectives had to be in the right place.
they NEEDED to go into it with the midset, that we CAN and we WILL take this land
and thats why anytime you are in the process of choosing someone to be apart of your teams, or choosing someone to be apart of your circle YOU HAVE TO BE SURE THAT YOU CHOOSE WELL.
because what tends to happens is// a-lot of times we will fill vacancies with random people just because we don’t have anybody else.
but can I give you some advise
***If it aint the right person, leave the position empty.
I dont have the time to be taking on an unnecessary burden that slows the vision instead helping moving it forward.
you have to trust God that will send the right people with what your vision requires.
and so he gives the these things to look out for \\
and the bible says they went up and scouted the land // the bible says they went all throughout the land as spies, and as they scouted the land
they went to Hebron and saw the the descendents of Anak//
now the Anak descendants were like Giants, some bible scholars compare these people to the size of Goliath who is beleived to be around 9 Feet 9 inches.
// So after observing the people in the land // the bibles says they came to this place called Eschol Valley
its there where they cut off a branch bearing a single cluster of grapes // the bible says this cluster was so big that two of the men had to use a pole to carry the cluster of grapes.
which signifies that the land was good, and produced good fruit.
the bible says these men explored the promise land for 40 days ,
for 40 days they watched how these Giant Anak moved and operated throughout the land God had promised them.
for 40 days they had the opportunity to come up with a strategic plans as to how they would take possession of the land
for 40 days they had the chance to figure out resources they could use to help over take the current occupants
but what we see in our text after 40 days of being strategically placed in the Land God Promised them
They come back to moses and give this report//

We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. 28 But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan.

The Leaders came back and said “ yes the land you sent us to is flowing with milk and honey,
yes the fruit is great
the land is good
the soil is fertil
there are trees covering the land
*HIGH* but the people who lived there are strong and their cities are Fortified
that word fortified meant that the promised land had a defense around the cities that worked as as protection from any attacks
You see the Israelites thought the task of possession the land God had promised them was going to be an easy one.
They did not
they would see

Im not Intimidated by what I see

just because its hard doesn't mean its not Go d
do you know what intimidation
it is the weapons of the enemy in your mind that slowly moves you into disobiendence
it is the weapon of the enemy that he uses on the inside of you that gradually moves you away from his will.
uNderstand God will never call you to do what you can do.
If you can do it

Im not discouraged by what I see

Im Not
