I love the title because it reveals to us God is all powerful, all knowing, and everywhere present.
Luke 1:26–33 NKJV
26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” 29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
Mary wasn’t blessed above women. But among women.
Mary was not the mother of God she was the vessel God used to bring the Godman to humanity.
What man likes to do we like to deify people and things
Celebrities have become the new idols. We buy there lastest material we where there overly priced clothes. We adopt there word views. We sing there song and perform there dances.
Celebrites can be the modern day idols if we aren’t careful.
We make our money our idols

13 “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

When it says you cannot serve God and mammon.
It does mean fully just abstract money or riches.
But its deeper then that. Its a societal structure thats revolved around money.
Sometimes we forget that the church is counter cultural.
Luke 1:34–37 NKJV
34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” 35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”
The virgin birth was prophesied In the OT
Isaiah 7:14 NKJV
14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Isaiah 9:6 NKJV
6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Though the virgin birth is important to the Christmas story but whats of even greater importance is the incarnation.
The fact That God became a man.
The emphasis shouldn’t be on the how God became a man. It should be the fact that God became a man.
The how God became a man is important but of even greater importance is the Why.
Needless to say this is a great miracle beyond mans comprehension.
But the great miracle is God identifying with man is this way.
Luke 1:37 “37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”
The words that kept echoing in this play is this phrase “with God nothing is impossible.
Naturally we expect God to do the impossible but only when it comes to somebody else.
The reason why we don’t believe the impossible for us is because of our sins.
Sin perverts reality it skews spiritual perception.
Our sin hinders us from seeing Gods receptive work in our lives.
Thats why we are horrible evaluators of our own growth.
Because we see through a glass darkly we don’t see the entire picture we don’t see the impossibilites.
We see men like Abraham. And he was given all these promises from God. “All nations will be blessed because of you. Our of your loins Kings will be raised up. I will be your God . Etc Etc.
But we see in the scriptures that Abraham was a pagan when he was called he worshipped false gods, we see he was an adulter and had a baby outside of his marriage because he didn’t believe God.
He was a habitual liar as well fearing the face of kings and great men.
If God can do it for them He can do it for you.
We believe that for Abraham but we don’t believe that for ourselves.
We see how God delivered millions of people out of slavery in the times of Moses.
Through great miracles, from plagues, the parting the red sea etc etc.
But we don’t believe that God can restore a marriage. Or that God can deliver you from pornagraphy or acholism or addiction or even from our phones which is modern day witchcraft according to Andy Crouch .
Or we look at men like Solomon the wises man to ever live. He rebuilt the temple for God became a King of Israel.
But we say God can’t give me this wisdom. I never get it right.
But what keeps us from believing God can do the impossible is because of our sin. And our perversion toward God.
We forget that Moses was a murder and considered to be the meekest man on earth.
We forget Abraham was an habitual liar but yet the father of our faith.
We forget that Solomon was a whoremonger and loved exotic women. And he worshiped false gods. But yet the wisest man to ever live.
