I. “All is calm” and forget about wars for a while.
II. Peace announced in Luke 2:14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
III. What is this peace?
IV. Jesus brings hope and peace.
V. Read Romans 5:1 and Romans 5:2 and comment. Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:2 “Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
VI. Jesus’ peace and John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
VII. “Sleep in heavenly peace” in faith in the “holy infant, so tender and mild.
VIII. Repent and confess and receive forgiveness in Jesus’ name.
