Hi all and welcome to week 2 of our prayer and fasting for 2023. The Bible is clear that when we pray things change.
James 5:16 The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
But we dont pray aimessly or mindlessly we need to have a goal and focus in mind. So as you pray and fast over these 21 days keep asking for guidance and from the Holy Spirit.
Last week our focus was on His presence and power and this week our focus is Salvation!
I have with me Bobby Harold from our Wilson Campus.
We start out this week with a focus on 1 Timothy 2:4
1 timothy 2:4 “who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
There are two parts I see here that are important God desires everyone to be saved and that means a knowledge of the truth!
So lets jump into this a bit. Paul in or passage reminds us that God desires everyone to be saved.
Bobby is reminding us of the need to pray for salvation what does that prayer look like to you?
Some people say everyone is going to end up in heaven anyway so why bother?
How do you keep a passion for the lost
Is prayer the only thing we should do? leave it up to God?
you wrote the devotion and many people wouldnt know what to do in that sort of situation. How can we better prepare for God opportunities like that? (its getting a heart for people)
Everyone listing
I notice in the passage savation and knowlegde are linked to me that means our responsibility doesnt end with bringing people
