The Jewish nation was used by God to bring blessings to the world. It was announced to Abraham and it has been revealed through the coming of Jesus. Yet, through Israel, God is reaching out to Gentiles (non-Jewish people of the world). We see this in how this Syro-Phoenican woman believed that not only could Jesus be able to help her daughter, but that He was willing and would help her daughter. The end result is that her daughter was freed from demon possession.
