Vision Casting 2023

Proverbs 29:18

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

When we think about vision, we typically think of the ability to see and that is one meaning of the word but for a few moments I would like us to think about this definition: the ability to think about or plan for the future with imagination or wisdom.

I have, in the past, felt the leading of God by the Holy Spirit but this is the first time I have attempted to cast vision for the upcoming year. I feel that God is speaking to us directly regarding 3 specific areas. I want to share with you what I believe God is saying to us for 2023.

God is leading us to focus on:

Reaching out

Reaching in

Reaching up

Let’s expound on each of these briefly.

Reaching out-We will continue with our outreach events and instead of adding new events this year, we will concentrate on perfecting what is already in place.

Reaching in-We will add more opportunities for time together as a family of faith, we will add more opportunities to minister to those who cannot join us here physically and add more opportunities to minister to those who may need special accommodations.

Reaching up-We will strive to focus our attention on ways of being kingdom minded.
