Stop Breathe, Relax, Proceed

It is Time to Let Go of the Past:

It is time to cling to the God of the Past
For many 2022 was a hard year. The Temptation will be to cry get me into 2023. But here is the reality 2023 will be hard. Life is hard. But Hear me today.
Life may be hard. But our God. He is Good!

It is time:There is Power in His Testimony

Christs final command was to remember
In Remembering there is power
Now Lets examine those thing Jesus is calling them to remember.
His crucifixion. His death. He broken Body. His Blood. His Pain. His agony. Why would we remember this? Typically when we are hurt we do our best to forget. We bury, we ignore. We run. Get those thoughts away.
But Jesus did the opposite. He said remember, what is about to happen. Let my victory win. You see Jesus understood that there is power in remembering There is strength in testimony.
Revelation 12:11 ESV
And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.

Stop Breathe, Relax, Proceed

It is time: to remember Christs Victory.

Let us ring in 2023 In Victory with Jesus! Not personally victory. oh no that can be fleeting. But victory in Jesus!
The Ushers handed out the elements earlier. IO want to make sure everyone has one.
1 Corinthians 11:23–26 ESV
For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Closing
So as we embark into 2023, may we do so holding fast not to our resolutions, or our promises. Our promises are worthless anyway. We must learn in 2023 to hold fast anew to the promises of God.
