- Hi everyone! Welcome to the Committed Youth Podcast, the official podcast of the high school student ministry of Calvary La Habra in La Habra, California! If you don’t know me, I am [Brian Bautista], and I involved with the Jr High School Ministry primarily but i am also involved with the youth ministry as a whole .

- Tonight our youth group is taking over our main midweek service and we are hosting a special LIVE recording of our podcast!

- I am one of the hosts for the podcast tonight, and I am also joined by my cohosts today:

Jay Vallejo _ who needs no introduction, he is the high school Pastor her at La Habra , also our personal CrossFit coach

Chad Bell, who has been serving the past 12 or 14 years in our high school ministry and has been a recurring presence on the podcast! How’s it going Chad?

- A staple of our podcast episodes is that we start out the discussion with an icebreaker game.

- Today, we will be playing our classic “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” style trivia game. In the spirit of our overall topic, this will be a university themed game today.

- So as you guys know, this is a multiple choice quiz game. I will read you a question and a list of possible answers, and you will have to tell me which answer you think is the correct one!

- We will be doing three rounds of the game. If you feel like you need any help, you can get help in one of two ways:

(1) you can either phone a friend by asking someone that is up here on stage for advice,

or

(2) you can poll the crowd. So when one of our guests chooses to poll the crowd, I will count to 3 and on the count of 3, you guys in the audience will yell out what you think is the right answer!

- So from our game today we can definitely see that there are a lot of people graduating from these universities that go on to shape our culture and our world.

- And that ties directly into our main discussion today, because we are talking about how we as Christians can navigate the cultural influences that are encountered when attending these colleges and universities!

- So as we start out our main discussion....
