Hebrews 4:12

Worst injury you’ve ever had
Isn’t it kinda weird we are so fascinated by injuries and harm that’s happened to us??
I don’t know what that says about us
Hebrews 4:12
I don’t particularly like blood - story of little boys crashing and burning on pavement parking lot (I don’t generally deal with kids 12 and under). I shy away from other’s physical woundedness (even my own)
God’s word reaches us with unprecedented precision
The word doesn’t do a hack-job like I did on my finger. The word goes to work in just the right place, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit
You see, this cutting isn’t accidental. This wounding isn’t ultimately harmful. It’s helpful. God uses his word like a surgeon uses his scapel. While there might be pain, conviction, and (simply put) parts of our life being laid open for God to see, He is good.
