Beatitudes Blessed

Blessed Matthew 5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: 2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying

To begin with brothers and sisters, Christian Friends, Well Wishers, and Saints of God it is a brand New Year and we can make a brand new start with a brand new outlook on life. Everybody in here is looking for a brand new prospectus on their lives. And the people in the Matthew text was looking for a savior, a healer, a redeemer, a messiah, and a miracle working man. The bible says in Matthew 4 after the great temptation of Jesus that crowds and multitudes followed Jesus everywhere He went. And Matthew 4:17 says that Jesus began to Preach saying Repent: for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Jesus called His original disciples Peter and Andrew who were cast nets and James and John who were mending nets. And Matthew 4:23 says that Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. 25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

And so it was that now in Matthew Chapter 5. we see Jesus going up into a mountain side. Jesus was probably at the foothills of the mountain. And Jesus did this because at the foothills at the precise location there will be an Audiation. An Audiation is a musical and sound engineering term that means that you can speak at a normal voice volume and it’s going to sound loud like you’re using a big amplifier and mixer and microphones with great quality speakers. But you’re only using your normal speaking voice.

This tells me that Jesus was better than a genius He was Emmanuel God with us. And now the multitudes are there,and the bible is calling them His Disciples. Disciples of Christ are followers of Jesus Christ. Disciples are willing to deny themselves take up their cross and turn their whole lives over to the ways, the will and the mighty working of Jesus Christ.

A disciple doesn’t mind being taught the word of God. I learn new stuff everyday because I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

And so here are some Beatitude Blessing for those disciples who don’t mind being taught.

1. In verse 3. Blessed are the Poor in Spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Let’s unpack this text, The word poor was taken from a Greek word meaning “to- crouch.” It carries the idea that the person being spoken of is lowly,afflicted, helpless, powerless to solve their problem. It also meant that that person lacked wealth and education, or was in a fix position of abject humiliation and was a beggar. This is an awful position to be in. But sometimes we are in a big mess that only God can pull us out of.

2. In verse 4. the word says Blessed are those who mourn. for they will be comforted.The word Mourn means to wail. Wailing is deeper than being sad. Because wailing means that you’re in despondency and despair. Meaning you’re feeling so helpless until you don’t want to get out of bed in the mourning and it’s 2 o-clock in the day time. The Lord knows what you’re going through and He will comfort you with divine comfort that will leave you in contentment.

3. In verse 5. Blessed are the Meek for they shall inherit the earth. Those how humble themselves under the Mighty Hand of God will be exalted in due season. Meekness means humility, Humility is a kind of gentleness of Spirit. It means to have a mild disposition even while the the world around you is flipping out flashing out, and falling out. The meek person trusts God and accepts life’s circumstances and recognize and realize that whatever happens to me,,, All things work together for the good to them who love God and to them who are the called according to His purpose. Life sometimes have painful situation, frightening situations, frustrating realities and annoying scenarios that seems impossible to come out of. And so scripture says Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. This teaches us that the only way up is to get down lowly.

4. In verse 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for Righteousness, for they will be filled. David said thy law have I sought with my whole heart. Listen to me Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God We’ve got to crave and desire righteousness. Because Righteousness means Holy and up right living. It means that you have a godly standard and you’ve conformed to God’s word in such a way that everybody knows that you’ve been with the Lord.

5. in verse 7 Blessed are the Merciful for they shall be shown Mercy. Somebody once asked the question “Which would you rather Grace or Mercy. And My answer was is and ever shall be Lord please give me Mercy. Mercy because I still mess up I’m still guilty. If I would be judged on my merit I’d be found guilty but Mercy steps in and takes my place and pay the penalty of my sin debt. His name is Jesus Christ the Merciful. Merciful people are kind, even to those who treat them without respect. Merciful people forgive because if God can forgive us of our sins, then we can be forgiving and forgive somebody to harmed us. God fully pardoned us and have had mercy and compassion on us, and now it’s time for us to be merciful to somebody else.

6. In verse 8. Blessed are the Pure in Heart, for they shall see God. I always try to influence children before the ugly grips of life get a hold on them. Because Children are mostly innocent. It’s the world around them that corrupts them. Christians are mostly innocent but its the wiles, tricks, and traps of the devil that corrupt them so badly. Brothers and sisters in the New Year we’ve got to do out level best to keep out hearts pure.

7. In Verse 9 Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they will be called Children of God. A clear sign that a person is a child of God or not is how peaceful they live with other people out in the community, the school the church and their homes. A Peacemaker is a person who could set it off and they choose to let God stand up in them and be a Peacemaker. I don’t like Preacher fighters, Choir haters, Usher halters, Deacon Deniers, and Pew Impostors. And anybody that want to disrupt the harmony of the church according too this scripture is not a Child of God, Because Jesus said Blessed are the Peacemakers for they shall be called the Children of God. That scripture put me in check.

8. In verse 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of Righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. It’s got that can’t wait to make fun of and tease you and ridicule you and harass and harm you and bother you only because you choose to do right. If you were doing wrong you’d be a part of the in crowd. Have you noticed that since you got saved less people have anything to don with you. There was a Facebook post that struck a nerve with me. It said “I asked the Lord to show me my enemies and I loss a lot of friends.” And some of y’all thinking that the enemies are way of in left field but in reality they are close close close to you. But remember that Jesus said the servant is not greater than his master. Jesus said if they persecuted Me then you know for sure that they are going to persecute you.

9. In verse 11.Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Anybody ever been lied on anybody ever been talked about and called everything but a child of God Anybody ever have to give your rights for a fellow man’s wrongs. Jesus say you’re blessed because of it. Because what they meant for your bad God turn that thing around for your good.

I’ve seen God turn that thing around. I’ve seen God’s word come to pass where He says Stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord. I’ve seen the balance scales work in my favor when I should have been dead . And the Doctor say Rev your blood works looks good you’re cancer free for the 7th year.

And so as I close #10. I heard Jesus saying in verse 12. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

In essence Jesus is saying that tah the talked about Abraham Isaac and Jacob and they are going to talk about you Great God

They talked about Moses, Aaron, and Joshua so they are going to talk about you but rejoice anyhow Yes. They talked about Samson Solomon and Samuel so you know they are going to talk abut you. Oh Lord They talked about David and Daniel

They talked about Isaiah Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah,Micah Nahum Habakkuk , Zephaniah, Haggai, Zachariah and Malachi. Oh yes they did Out on Calvary they talked about Jesus They said he has saved other now he can’t save himself. But Jesus kept on dying for thee sins of the whole world. And He died!! Didn’t He died? But early Sunday Morning He got Up with All Power in His Hands. Oh Yes He did.
