Introduction:

A New Year's resolution is a tradition, most common in the Western World but also found in the Eastern World, in which a person resolves to continue good practices, change an undesired trait or behavior, accomplish a personal goal, or otherwise improve their behaviour at the beginning of a calendar year.
What does it mean to resolve?
decide firmly on a course of action
firm determination to do something
Common new years resolutions
Exercise more
Lose weight
Get organized
Learn a new skill or hobby
Live life to the fullest
Save more money / spend less money
Quit smoking

1. Spend More Time Studying The Bible

God Commands us to study and understand the word of God
We need to meditate on the Word of God – Psalm 1:2

2. Spend More Time In Prayer to God

We Should Make Time For Prayer

We Should Pray Daily
We allow our jobs and social pleasures to rob us of time, quiet hours, to pray

Why Should We Pray?

We should want to talk to our father
To find grace to help in the time if need – Heb. 4:16

3. Do Better About Attending Worship Services
