What are God's plans for 2023

Welcome back to our 1st service of 2023

I hope you had a restful Christmas season

we left up the decorations for Ukranine Christmas which was yesterday.

Happy Christmas to all our Ukrainine friends

Lets continue to keep the country of Ukraine in our prayers during this very challenging time

Today I want to focus this Church on getting prepared for what God has instore.

for the past number of months we have been focused on relationship building.

by speaking on the One anothers of Scripture.

that will continue on into March.

But I want to take a little break from that and focus on What God is saying through the prophets

The passage that has grabbed my attention for this year of 2023 is Psalm 41.

Now traditionally this passage has been used to speak to those going through illness

although thats very true, I believe it also has application to our nation.

Psalm 41 NASB95

For the choir director. A Psalm of David. 1 How blessed is he who considers the helpless; The Lord will deliver him in a day of trouble. 2 The Lord will protect him and keep him alive, And he shall be called blessed upon the earth; And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies. 3 The Lord will sustain him upon his sickbed; In his illness, You restore him to health. 4 As for me, I said, “O Lord, be gracious to me; Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.” 5 My enemies speak evil against me, “When will he die, and his name perish?” 6 And when he comes to see me, he speaks falsehood; His heart gathers wickedness to itself; When he goes outside, he tells it. 7 All who hate me whisper together against me; Against me they devise my hurt, saying, 8 “A wicked thing is poured out upon him, That when he lies down, he will not rise up again.” 9 Even my close friend in whom I trusted, Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me. 10 But You, O Lord, be gracious to me and raise me up, That I may repay them. 11 By this I know that You are pleased with me, Because my enemy does not shout in triumph over me. 12 As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, And You set me in Your presence forever. 13 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, From everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.

1 How blessed is he who considers the helpless; The Lord will deliver him in a day of trouble.

I’d like to say our the trouble in the world are over, and we can go back to the way things were.

But as I told you previously

The enemy has major plans to sew detruction on ther earth.

God revelaed 7 stages of the enemies plans for the 2020 decade

the 1st 3 were sequential, but the remaining were multi facets and concurrent

It was apparent these stages would overlap and be built upon another

Epidemic: Where the cure would be worse than the disease 2019-2022

War: Where the enemy had plans to expland it to encompass the world, And we needed to pray to God to limit its reach 2022-

Natural disaster that would shake the foundations of the earth 2023

loss of reliable technolgies like electricity

Finacial Collapse of many nations

The collapse of 1 superpower and the rise of another: which will dramatically change world politics

Drastic food shortages in many places around the world

Now we as God’s people do NOT need to fear the enemies plans.

Psalm 121:7–8 NLT

7 The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. 8 The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

A light burns brightest in the darkness

Through the calamity the enemy brings, will give the church greater opportunity to Love people into the Kingdom of God

We see that right now.

I preached a message on this a number of months back

what the enemy intended was to divide, isolate and destroy , and yes the universal church felt that big time

but the enemies intent actually produced the greatest opportunity the Church has had to reach the world

If we each focus on building relationships, the opportunities will be obvious

We don’t need to fear, but we need to seek God’s plan and wisdom

Proverbs 25:2 NASB95

2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

When God gave Pharoah a dream about the 7 years of abundance followed by 7 years of famine, they needed a Godly man to reveal God’s plans to them

did Joseph fear of what was coming?

No becasue He was God’s man who had God’s plan of what to do about it.

Sure Pharoah and his court and the people of Egypt had reason to fear if Joseph wasn’t there.

But there was no place for fear because they had God’s plans

The same is true today,

When God reveals earthly calamity its so he can reveal a Godly response to those who seek it out.

My question for you, As God’s representative here on the earth. What solutions is He asking you to search out to provide a solution in your areas of influence.

Ephesians 1:17 NASB95

17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.

In the Church

we have many people who operate in a Spirit of Wisdom often focused on natural solutions

we have many people who operate in a Spirit of Revelations often focused on Supernatural solutions

but what God is looking for is people who operate in both Wisdom and Revelation

Who can operate in both their Natural and their Supernatural giftings

Instead of just looking for a natural solutions or only a supernatural solution why not both?

Let’s look at number 6 as an example Food shortages

Well the natural solution would be to get the extra food in abundant countries over to those those who lack.

Well supernatural solution would be get a completely new revelations from God how to grow greater quantities of food cheaper and in a smaller area.

through revelation God gave Joseph a very practical solution to Egypts future problems.

build graineries and store up the food during the years of surplus to supply you through the years of lack.

Godly revelation with a practical solution.

But what if you don’t have the 7 years of surplus?

Well we do have Jesus’s multiple examples of feeding many people from a very little amount of food.

Here we have a Revelation with a supernatural solution.

It doesn’t matter what the enemy throws at us. God already has a solution.

He’s just looking for Godly King and Queen’ s to search out the answer to the matter

But what about 2023?

if you add 5+7+8+3 you get 23

interesting how the Jewish and gregorian calendars match up that way

I’ll let you think about that

5=grace

7=a manifest presence of the Spirit of God

8=New beginings

3= Perfection, Completeness

This is a year by Gods grace we will be encompassed fully by the Presence of the Spirit of God that ushers in a New beginings, and leads to Him completing His plans for us!

Now you why I’ve been looking forward to this year in so many ways.

I had visions I’ve been waiting for decades to come into being

Now is the begining of that season

But is this for everyone,

Unfortunetly No,

Only for those who pass the test of the wilderness

For the Israelites

phase 1 Egypt

phase 2 Wilderness

phase 3 Promised land.

To get into the promised land the Israelites had to pass the test of the Wilderness.

The generation that left egypt failed the test.

The next generation were the one who got to enter the promised land.

So what was the test?

The wilderness was a time to teach the Israelites , complete and total dependance upon the presence of God

Cloud by day the fire by night that's how it works you live by the word of God

Matthew 4:4 NASB95

4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’ ”

Jesus said that in the wilderness and if you don't learn the lessons of the Wilderness when you get into the promised land a trap door will fall out from under you and you will end back up and in Into the Wilderness

because you have a freedom in the promised land that you do not have um in the wilderness and you must learn the lessons of the Wilderness

so we have to the Lord is inviting us into stage 3

What is the promsed land He has in store for you

Have you learned the lessons in the wilderness that will help you thrive in the promised land
