It’s The Lords Battle part 2

2 Chronicles 20:1–18 NLT
1 After this, the armies of the Moabites, Ammonites, and some of the Meunites declared war on Jehoshaphat. 2 Messengers came and told Jehoshaphat, “A vast army from Edom is marching against you from beyond the Dead Sea. They are already at Hazazon-tamar.” (This was another name for En-gedi.) 3 Jehoshaphat was terrified by this news and begged the Lord for guidance. He also ordered everyone in Judah to begin fasting. 4 So people from all the towns of Judah came to Jerusalem to seek the Lord’s help. 5 Jehoshaphat stood before the community of Judah and Jerusalem in front of the new courtyard at the Temple of the Lord. 6 He prayed, “O Lord, God of our ancestors, you alone are the God who is in heaven. You are ruler of all the kingdoms of the earth. You are powerful and mighty; no one can stand against you! 7 O our God, did you not drive out those who lived in this land when your people Israel arrived? And did you not give this land forever to the descendants of your friend Abraham? 8 Your people settled here and built this Temple to honor your name. 9 They said, ‘Whenever we are faced with any calamity such as war, plague, or famine, we can come to stand in your presence before this Temple where your name is honored. We can cry out to you to save us, and you will hear us and rescue us.’ 10 “And now see what the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir are doing. You would not let our ancestors invade those nations when Israel left Egypt, so they went around them and did not destroy them. 11 Now see how they reward us! For they have come to throw us out of your land, which you gave us as an inheritance. 12 O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.” 13 As all the men of Judah stood before the Lord with their little ones, wives, and children, 14 the Spirit of the Lord came upon one of the men standing there. His name was Jahaziel son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite who was a descendant of Asaph. 15 He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow, march out against them. You will find them coming up through the ascent of Ziz at the end of the valley that opens into the wilderness of Jeruel. 17 But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!” 18 Then King Jehoshaphat bowed low with his face to the ground. And all the people of Judah and Jerusalem did the same, worshiping the Lord.
Your first fighting positing Is seeking God in what to do.
(3verse NLT) Jehoshaphat was terrified by this news and begged the Lord for guidance
Amplified Bible Chapter 20

Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself [determinedly, as his vital need] to seek the Lord

Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD

He went to GOD for help

Most Christians Don’t Seek God first, he’s 3rd or 4th Option.
Which mean’s you have more confidence in the opinion of your human gods than you do in the Lord of your Salvation.
1 Samuel 23:2 KJV
2 Therefore David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the LORD said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah.
1 Samuel 23:4 KJV
4 Then David enquired of the LORD yet again. And the LORD answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
2 Samuel 2:1 KJV
1 And it came to pass after this, that David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the LORD said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron.
2 Samuel 5:19 KJV
19 And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
2 Samuel 5:23 KJV
23 And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
2 Samuel 21:1 KJV
1 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.

Many of us have moved in flesh, in fear, in the moment and in the hype.
2nd Fighting Position is A closed Mouth
Someone say Chin down Chin down playa..

3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. 4 And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD

What Weakens a Cooperate Body is the individuals who refuse to fast.
A fight without a fast won’t be a far fight 4 You

CHAPTER 4

1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him

Living the Spirit Formed Life Nothing but Prayer and Fasting

NOTHING BUT PRAYER AND FASTING

In Mark 9:29, Jesus is speaking to His disciples about a circumstance they had found themselves incapable of handling. When Jesus returned with Peter, James and John from the Mount of Transfiguration, He found the other disciples frustrated with their unsuccessful efforts to cast out a demon from a local boy. They asked, “Lord, why couldn’t we do it?”

So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting” (Mark 9:29).

One of the reason why we have powerless Christians with titles is found in this text.
We lack aFasting life style …
Now imagine a Non- fasting Congregation...
3rd Fighting Position is Prayer
2 Chronicles 20:5–6 KJV
5 And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court, 6 And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?
The Power of Prayer is irreplaceable in the Kingdom
2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
We have attempted to replace prayer with praise.. Praise is necessary but without a mighty prayer life you might as well sit down.
Brother’s Jehoshaphat was not intimidated as the King to Publicly pray in front of the nation.
Brothers: Do you have a bold prayer life in you home that everyone knows, when the priest is on his knees..
Men Are ordained to be the Priest, Prophet & King of there home.
Our Prayer life gives us the opportunity to foresee the dangers headed towards our Home and bind the adversarial attacks over our house hold.
4th Fighting Position Is Prophecy
1 Corinthians 14:3–5 TPT
3 But when someone prophesies, he speaks to encourage people, to build them up, and to bring them comfort. 4 The one who speaks in tongues advances his own spiritual progress, while the one who prophesies builds up the church. 5 I would be delighted if you all spoke in tongues, but I desire even more that you impart prophetic revelation to others. Greater gain comes through the one who prophesies than the one who speaks in tongues, unless there is interpretation so that it builds up the entire church.
2 Chronicles 20:14–17 KJV
14 Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation; 15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. 17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
Encouragement: Be not afraid nor Dismayed by reason of this multitude
Build them Up: The Battle is not Yours, But God’s.
Comfort: Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, Stand Still and see the salvation of the Lord With you.
Which Brings me to my 5th Opp’s times up See next Week..( Standing Still)
