I have a purpose.
My purpose is to win the lost to Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:18-20 - Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you,and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).
Matthew 28:18–20 (AMP)
Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).
Andrew got Peter. (John 1:42) Philip got Nathaniel (John 1:45)
They went to family and friends and shared the good news.
Samaritan women went and got her whole town. (John 4:28)
Demoniac wanted to stay with Jesus, but he told him to go tell his town what He had done.
John 4:28 (AMP)
John 4:28 AMP
28 Then the woman left her water jar and went away to the town. And she began telling the people,
28 Then the woman left her water jar and went away to the town. And she began telling the people,
Luke 8:38-39 - But the man from whom the demons had gone out kept begging and praying that he might accompany Him and be with Him, but [Jesus] sent him away, saying, 39 Return to your home, and recount [the story] of how many and great things God has done for you. And [the man] departed, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.
The demoniac wanted to stay with Jesus and be a disciple and continue to learn. That’s where many are in the church today. We want to continue to learn and not go out and win the lost.
He could have said that he didn’t know enough to reach people, but he just shared his testimony.
He was obedient and even went beyond what was asked and told the whole city!
Luke 8:38–39 (AMP)
38 But the man from whom the demons had gone out kept begging and praying that he might accompany Him and be with Him, but [Jesus] sent him away, saying,
39 Return to your home, and recount [the story] of how many and great things God has done for you. And [the man] departed, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.
The church service is mainly for believers, not for unbelievers.
It is not the primary vehicle for evangelism.
In the Book of Acts on the day of Pentecost, they were all together in one accord in the house, they had to leave the prayer service (church service) with what they had received and when they did, 3,000 were saved.
Much of Jesus’ ministry took place at the table in people’s houses, not in the church.
He ate with sinners and tax collectors. He ate at Zacchaeus’ house and not only was he saved, he gave back all the money he stole and more. 4 times!
What would happen if we began to open our homes to our family, friends, neighbors, etc. and invited them in to sit at the table with us and share a meal. During that time, God might open the door to share the gospel as well as our lives. Lives could be transformed.
I best fulfill my purpose on a team, this team is the church.
Ephesians 4:11–16 (AMP)
11 And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.
12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),
13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.
14 So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.
15 Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
16 For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.
In sports, the most talented team does not always win. If a team has all the talent in the world but does not fit together and click as a unit, they will still lose.
A house divided cannot stand. We must stay united and submitted to one another. We must celebrate each other’s victories and support each other’s efforts. We need each other.
I cannot
I will not
I should not
be satisfied
unless I am fulfilling my purpose.
John 4:31-34 - Meanwhile, the disciples urged Him saying, Rabbi, eat something. 32 But He assured them, I have food (nourishment) to eat of which you know nothing and have no idea. 33 So the disciples said one to another, Has someone brought Him something to eat? 34 Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work.
John 4:31-34
John 4:31–34 (AMP)
31 Meanwhile, the disciples urged Him saying, Rabbi, eat something.
Jesus was filled up or satisfied because He was doing the will of the father and to completely finish His work. It’s no different for us.
Then Jesus went from saying that He had food to eat which was doing the do the will of the Father to immediately talking about the harvest.
God desires that none should perish but all have eternal life so, we still have a lot of work to do.
35 Do you not say, It is still four months until harvest time comes? Look! I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields and see how they are already white for harvesting. 36 Already the reaper is getting his wages [he who does the cutting now has his reward], for he is gathering fruit (crop) unto life eternal, so that he who does the planting and he who does the reaping may rejoice together.
John 4:35–36 (AMP)
35 Do you not say, It is still four months until harvest time comes? Look! I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields and see how they are already white for harvesting.
36 Already the reaper is getting his wages [he who does the cutting now has his reward], for he is gathering fruit (crop) unto life eternal, so that he who does the planting and he who does the reaping may rejoice together.
I have no promise for another tomorrow to share with the lost.
James 4:13-14 - Come now, you who say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a city and spend a year there and carry on our business and make money. 14 Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen tomorrow. What is the nature of your life? You are [really] but a wisp of vapor (a puff of smoke, a mist) that is visible for a little while and then disappears [into thin air].
James 4:13–14 (AMP)
13 Come now, you who say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a city and spend a year there and carry on our business and make money.
14 Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen tomorrow. What is the nature of your life? You are [really] but a wisp of vapor (a puff of smoke, a mist) that is visible for a little while and then disappears [into thin air].
John 9:4-5 - We must work the works of Him Who sent Me and be busy with His business while it is daylight; night is coming on, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the world’s Light
John 9:4 (AMP)
4 We must work the works of Him Who sent Me and be busy with His business while it is daylight; night is coming on, when no man can work.
Neither do the lost have a promise for tomorrow unless I fulfill my purpose and give them the Gospel
Romans 6:23 - For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23 (AMP)
23 For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 10:13-15 - For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved. 14 But how are people to call upon Him Whom they have not believed [in Whom they have no faith, on Whom they have no reliance]? And how are they to believe in Him [adhere to, trust in, and rely upon Him] of Whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher? 15 And how can men [be expected to] preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings! [How welcome is the coming of those who preach the good news of His good things!]
Romans 10:13–15 (AMP)
13 For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved.
14 But how are people to call upon Him Whom they have not believed [in Whom they have no faith, on Whom they have no reliance]? And how are they to believe in Him [adhere to, trust in, and rely upon Him] of Whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?

A.W. Tozer - The true minister simply surrenders to the inward pressure and cries, “Woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” 1 Corinthians 9:16
1 Corinthians 9:16 AMP
16 For if I [merely] preach the Gospel, that gives me no reason to boast, for I feel compelled of necessity to do it. Woe is me if I do not preach the glad tidings (the Gospel)!

I cannot, will not, should not be satisfied unless I am fulfilling my purpose.
