This morning, one side of 84, on a passage, which frankly, two quotes, the one who wrote it. I didn't think there's enough room in the libraries of the world that you could write about said passage. So you will have to not tell somebody else, tell somebody else about the richness.

The Temptations. Well, if you haven't already guessed are lots of ramble on and I get excited about all the things that you could say about a Biblical passage, or about the word of God. And say, if you haven't already, guessed the temptation to know what just go. Well, as he think so,

Philly for a father, thank you for this morning. Thank you for the blessing and the choice. He sang Thank You, Lord, that we have had homes that we have come from and we have a home that we come to here. Thank you, Lord. That we have the money and the resources, and the safety to meet somewhere, warm with a roof, over our heads. Without fear of persecution.

Lord help us to be ever grateful. Thank you that we have your word that we can read it. Freely distributed have it in our own language and not have to hide it. We are so blessed to be ever thankful and speak to us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Well, Happy New Year. I'm starting a sermon series at the beginning of this year, looking at Shawn Jones account of the life of Jesus. And then there's some debate as to, which unit was the author of this book, for the sake of argument, I'm going to come down on the side of John, the son of Zebedee. Who is Jesus and describe this One Love by Jesus. And John has one of Jesus's disciples writes his gospel and being a little bit different from the other three gospels in circulation. If you can lick your message, that John has a very different sort of tone, just simply trying to tell us only what Jesus did. But he's trying to get a flagstone. And teachers about who Jesus is, who is Jesus Who do you say that Jesus is. Are the next few Sundays. We can't see that Sean Tellez. Until Stars this book. By talking about the words to other wood, capital W, this word is the Greek word logos and different things to different way. This situation listeners, they would have immediately. That is the translation of God's words in the Old Testament in the Greek translation of the Old Testament logos and God's word in the Old Testament, is his powerful self-expression. You think about the way in which we hear the Sea Isle by the word of the Lord. God's word comes to profit by God's word, things are spoken into action soon as his powerful expression in Creation in Revelation in Salvation and the personification in this text of what makes it suitable for Johnson. Ultimate self-disclosure in the person of his son, such a link to the powerful self-expression of God throughout the Old Testament. And then said to everyone else to do a show to Greek listeners logos with a a ton. And there was a well-known at the time it is that comes from stoic philosophy and it could be some reason and rationality and was something that was sort of in that world peace or low-cost Rams through the center of reality. In the middle of the coolest guy in the middle in copper wires, whatever it might be. Rational sense of Reason through which the whole world is kind of held together. It's one of a structure of rationality, by saying Jesus, is this logos the words of God. The Define rationality that runs through anything. Jesus, Freaks, and stoic philosophers. You've been searching for, in this in this town Go-Go's in this rational sense. Geez, you're seeking more of the words of God Jesus. Is that Jesus is the logos. I want cheese and Gentiles everyone to know right from the beginning. All day long for meaning reason, the words of God, the powerful revelation of the Divine sound in this man, Jesus. He is all of these things not as his nature. I want to hear Jesus is TA at the beginning of this new year. But don't get further in the next to the five S's and says, who Jesus the logos the word is and what he has done. Let me just list in the first 5 verses of John these things and I encourage you to just reflect on these briefly and think the only was remembered. It says who Jesus is.

It's young tells us that Jesus was with God in the beginning of time.

John tells us that Jesus himself is goes.

Don't tells us that the Universe was made through Jesus. It's like everything that you have ever seen would not exist without Jesus.

John tells us that Jesus office life.

Hotels to stay in a world of Darkness, Jesus is the true source of Lights.

And as the true source of Lights, he can never be overcome. This is who Jesus is packed into the first five verses of John. He is desperate to tell us and remind us who Jesus is he is desperate to Facebook by expanding of you Jesus.

Play the beginning of this new year, at the beginning of this series anti-war, I will have popped a of John chapter one next week. So, I guess Flex pieces, then,

My encouragement is simply this trying to expand your view of Jesus this week. Baby Reese's first versus Incheon. And let an expanded view of Jesus. Just gently change it. As you shop. Remember. Jesus is the logos. He's the what? As you work, remember. Who sings When Main Street Cheese's? As you cook dinner, remember Jesus of his life. As you driving your car, remember. Jesus office Truliant to a dog.

Know how you could expand your view of Jesus this week? Hobbit maybe is a little experiment, have it as an experiment to see how you can grow your view of Jesus and next week will come together and see what he's done to that simple one thing. Honey pie.

Thank you for the gift of Jesus. Thank you that you are the light in the world.

Help us to have a lodge view view this week.

I know that one simple thing, saying, how great you are would affect how we speak and work, and pray and hurt. In Jesus name.

Thank you. John. Remember who Jesus is? Just hang on.
