The Journey
Know God
Find Freedom
Discover Purpose
Make a Difference
1 - UNDERSTAND THE PURPOSE OF THE LAW
1 - UNDERSTAND THE PURPOSE OF THE LAW
Law was a babysitter until we found life in Christ through repentance.
2 - WALK IN THE LIGHT
2 - WALK IN THE LIGHT
We repent once when we turn from a sin habit in our lives; but before we repent, we must confess. Once we find freedom through repentance, we continue to confess to stay free.
3 - BE AWARE OF DARKNESS
3 - BE AWARE OF DARKNESS
We learned that don’t wrestle with people, we wrestle with the demonic influences behind them.
And we learned the generational effects of sin in a family lineage.
4 - WALK IN AUTHORITY
4 - WALK IN AUTHORITY
You will walk in divine authority to extent you are willing to submit to delegated authority.
Submission Sub-Mission
Authority
Antonym of authority
powerlessness
There are three basic categories of Kingdom authority, and none contradict the other:
Direct: The known will of God for your life: That which you know God has spoken regarding His call on your life.
Indirect: The Bible — The written will of God as it applies to His plan for all mankind. (submission, tithing, prayer, repentance, etc.)
Delegated: Five Fold Ministry and their designated personnel within the local church where God has called you to submit your life for the equipping of your calling.
Submission to Authority is the Foundation of all Lasting Works:

Submission to Authority is the True Benchmark of Faith
Submission to Authority is the True Benchmark of Faith
In Matthew chapter eight, Jesus called submission to delegated authority the greatest demonstration of faith He had seen in all Israel.
Submission to Authority is Essential to Defeating the Devil
Submission to Authority is Essential to Defeating the Devil
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4.7 (KJV)
Submission vs. Surrender – The Importance of Understanding Authority

The Necessity of Authority
The Necessity of Authority
We don’t surrender who we are, we submit who we are to God to become all we can be. To surrender is to become less; to submit is to become so much more.
The Abuse of Authority
The Abuse of Authority
The exercise of authority outside of responsibility is always destructive. Or it can be as simple as a business, church, or school that begins to major in the minors at the expense of its core purpose.
If you have ever been a victim of the abuse of authority, the challenge is to not “throw out the baby with the bathwater”. The abuse of authority by imperfect individuals in no wise diminishes its value and necessity.
Which brings us to Key Five:
5 - BINDING AND LOSING
5 - BINDING AND LOSING
We spent a little extra time authority in this series for reason; if you don’t understand authority, you never be able to operate in the last two keys to freedom.
We don’t interfere in the works of darkness by the power of darkness, we do so by the authority of Jesus.
7 Then Saul slaughtered the Amalekites from Havilah all the way to Shur, east of Egypt.
8 He captured Agag, the Amalekite king, but completely destroyed everyone else.
9 Saul and his men spared Agag’s life and kept the best of the sheep and goats, the cattle, the fat calves, and the lambs—everything, in fact, that appealed to them. They destroyed only what was worthless or of poor quality.
10 Then the Lord said to Samuel,
11 “I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and has refused to obey my command.” Samuel was so deeply moved when he heard this that he cried out to the Lord all night.
12 Early the next morning Samuel went to find Saul. Someone told him, “Saul went to the town of Carmel to set up a monument to himself; then he went on to Gilgal.”
13 When Samuel finally found him, Saul greeted him cheerfully. “May the Lord bless you,” he said. “I have carried out the Lord’s command!”
14 “Then what is all the bleating of sheep and goats and the lowing of cattle I hear?” Samuel demanded.
15 “It’s true that the army spared the best of the sheep, goats, and cattle,” Saul admitted. “But they are going to sacrifice them to the Lord your God. We have destroyed everything else.”
16 Then Samuel said to Saul, “Stop! Listen to what the Lord told me last night!” “What did he tell you?” Saul asked.
17 And Samuel told him, “Although you may think little of yourself, are you not the leader of the tribes of Israel? The Lord has anointed you king of Israel.
18 And the Lord sent you on a mission and told you, ‘Go and completely destroy the sinners, the Amalekites, until they are all dead.’
19 Why haven’t you obeyed the Lord? Why did you rush for the plunder and do what was evil in the Lord’s sight?”
20 “But I did obey the Lord,” Saul insisted. “I carried out the mission he gave me. I brought back King Agag, but I destroyed everyone else.
21 Then my troops brought in the best of the sheep, goats, cattle, and plunder to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal.”
22 But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.
23 Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols. So because you have rejected the command of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.”
Submission to Jesus is demonstrated in obedience to His will and word.
It is submission to the person of God; not just adherence to list a rules.
13 A group of Jews was traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits. They tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus in their incantation, saying, “I command you in the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!”
14 Seven sons of Sceva, a leading priest, were doing this.
15 But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?”
16 Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered.
Matthew 12:22–29 (NLT)
22 Then a demon-possessed man, who was blind and couldn’t speak, was brought to Jesus. He healed the man so that he could both speak and see.
23 The crowd was amazed and asked, “Could it be that Jesus is the Son of David, the Messiah?”
24 But when the Pharisees heard about the miracle, they said, “No wonder he can cast out demons. He gets his power from Satan, the prince of demons.”
25 Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A town or family splintered by feuding will fall apart.
26 And if Satan is casting out Satan, he is divided and fighting against himself. His own kingdom will not survive.
27 And if I am empowered by Satan, what about your own exorcists? They cast out demons, too, so they will condemn you for what you have said.
28 But if I am casting out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you.
29 For who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger—someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house.
19 And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”
The word tie him up, is
BIND

It’s not the power to make all our dreams come true, it’s the authority to reproduce heaven here on earth.
Thy kingdom come...
Next week we will finish up with Finding Freedom when we message will be entitled “Understanding Deliverance.”
I swore to uphold the constitution of the united states as the first step of becoming a soldier. Once I made covenant, I was then trained, once trained, I was equipped. You don’t give a weapon to an enemy or to an un-submitted friend.
