We have all heard the old saying that the proof is in the pudding. In the case of our relationship to God, according to the writer of Hebrews, the proof is in the chastisement. After concluding that there is an importance to the relationship, the author now expresses how our chastisement serves to prove the existence of the relationship and discusses its intended purpose.
