- It is more powerful to Light a Candle than to rebuke the darkness
- A midnight fire can be seen from outer space!
1 En el principio creó Dios los cielos y la tierra.
2 Y la tierra estaba desordenada y vacía, y las tinieblas estaban sobre la faz del abismo, y el Espíritu de Dios se movía sobre la faz de las aguas.
3 Y dijo Dios: Sea la luz; y fue la luz.
4 Y vio Dios que la luz era buena; y separó Dios la luz de las tinieblas.

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
3 Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4 And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day.

God always begins by turning on the LIGHT
Life requires light
Faith requires Light
The problem is many of us act more like flashlights than a Lamp!
14 Vosotros sois la luz del mundo; una ciudad asentada sobre un monte no se puede esconder.
15 Ni se enciende una luz y se pone debajo de un almud, sino sobre el candelero, y alumbra a todos los que están en casa.
16 Así alumbre vuestra luz delante de los hombres, para que vean vuestras buenas obras, y glorifiquen a vuestro Padre que está en los cielos.
14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
| Joyce Smith found herself in a truth of Darkness. When her 14 year old son John fell through some thin ice and remained underwater for fifteen minutes. No pulse. Until the doctor pronounced him Dead.
When Joyce Smith entered that emergency room filled with darkness, she refused to embrace that dark reality. She had just been reading about Believing in a GOD who can Actually do what he says HE can do!
What did Joyce do? She exposed the LIGHT of Faith , Hope, and Love!
She said “GOD send your Spirit to breathe life into my SON!” !!!!!!!!!
Darkness was met with the brightness of FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE!
What is bringing darkness to your life right now?
What is that bowl that is trying to turn off and hide your light?
It can be:
Lies
Defeat
Anger
Shame (verguenza, deshonra)
Fear
Doubt
Depression, sadness, Hopelessness (Desesperacion)
Sin, Addiction
Always going to the past
10. Going back to who you used to be
This world if filled with darkness and the only thing it can offer is false sense of LIGHT. Through distractions and lies.
But there is ONE who said
12 Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
12 Otra vez Jesús les habló, diciendo: Yo soy la luz del mundo; el que me sigue, no andará en tinieblas, sino que tendrá la luz de la vida.
There is always a Pharaoh trying to hold you captive in Egypt, bondage and fear!
The spirit of Goliath tries to intimidate you
Jezebel still tries to make men and women hide in caves.
The spirit of Absalom is dividing homes, marriages, and churches.
The spirit of Herod is trying to kill the children and youth. Trying to kill the Purpose of God in their lives
1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He existed in the beginning with God.
3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.
4 The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.
5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
1 En el principio era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios.
2 Este era en el principio con Dios.
3 Todas las cosas por él fueron hechas, y sin él nada de lo que ha sido hecho, fue hecho.

His Power is hidden in this LIGHT!
4 His coming is as brilliant as the sunrise. Rays of light flash from his hands, where his awesome power is hidden.
4 Y el resplandor fue como la luz; Rayos brillantes salían de su mano, Y allí estaba escondido su poder.
11 I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night—
12 but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you.
11 Si dijere: Ciertamente las tinieblas me encubrirán; Aun la noche resplandecerá alrededor de mí.
12 Aun las tinieblas no encubren de ti, Y la noche resplandece como el día; Lo mismo te son las tinieblas que la luz.
God wants you to SHINE his Light
11 For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.
11 Porque sol y escudo es Jehová Dios; Gracia y gloria dará Jehová. No quitará el bien a los que andan en integridad.
His Word is your Light
105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.
105 Lámpara es a mis pies tu palabra, Y lumbrera a mi camino.
I came to declare to you that:
For every Pharaoh there must be a Moses
For Every Goliath there must be a David
For every Nebuchadnezzar there must be a Daniel
For every Jezebel there must be an Elijah
For every Herod there must be a Jesus!
May people be illuminated because of the light you carry
