‌96% of Christian Millennials agree at least somewhat that being a witness for Jesus is part of their faith.
‌94% of Christian Millennials agree at least somewhat that the best thing that could ever happen to someone is for them to come to know Jesus.
‌47% of Christian Millennials agree at least somewhat that it is wrong to share one’s personal beliefs with someone of a different faith in hopes that they will one day share the same faith.
‌Our Previous Question: Is sharing the gospel condescending and judgmental?
‌Pushing you is judgmental. Sharing Jesus is not.
‌Our New Question: Why would we think that a man who lived in ancient Palestine would have the right to say what is right for everyone everywhere?
Acts 10:1–2 ESV
At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort, a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God.
The Bible recognizes that there are devout people in all faiths and in all walks of life.
Acts 10:34–35 ESV
So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
God does not discriminate between nations or peoples.
Acts 10:36–37 ESV
As for the word that he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all), you yourselves know what happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John proclaimed:
But something did happen one time and in one place that matters to everyone.
Acts 10:38 ESV
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
Jesus is a perfect judge because - like God - he did not discriminate between people.
Acts 10:39 ESV
And we are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree,
Jesus is a perfect judge because - like many of you - he knows the sting of injustice.
Acts 10:40–41 ESV
but God raised him on the third day and made him to appear, not to all the people but to us who had been chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.
The Resurrection happened.
The Resurrection vindicates Jesus’ right to judge.
The Resurrection must be shared with all nations.
Acts 10:42 ESV
And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.
Jesus is a perfect judge and no one else could ever be him - especially you.
Acts 10:43 ESV
To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”
We preach Jesus because being “good enough” is not good enough when there is a Savior like Jesus!
