Week 1 / We need to

Outline
2 things we need to do
Forgive
Mark 11:20–25 ESV
20 As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. 21 And Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.” 22 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
Ephesians 4:25–32 ESV
25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. 28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. 29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Who needs Your Forgiveness
The People Who have wrong you DUH
You can not move on holding grudges aginst someone
You are giving them power over you and they don't even know it
as we are willing to forgive God is willing to forgive
doesn't mean its easy but its doable
we have to hand over control and vengeance
Your Past/Past year
This sounds crazy but this past year for some has been bad
we have to fogive all that went wrong and move on so we can move to what is right
if we live in the what ifs of last year we can miss this year
Your Self
this can be the hardest one
you know your faillings
you know how bad you did
you have to understand you are a work in progress
a masterpeace but still in the making
you can not move on if you can forgive the old you
God
I think this is tied for the hardest
we lose
people
opperunties
we struggle
we ask in prayer and dont get the answer we want.
so we build up anger with God
we have to rememer he has the best for us in mind
we dont contol anything He does
All this is in his hand and we have to process the anger and fogive him because he knows better then us.
How to Work towards forgiveness
To work on fogivness we must work on our closness with God
forgivness is not natrual for us
so how can we do it if we are apart from God (WE CANT)
Be open and Honest at all time
Bible says to go to someone if you have a issues
this would fix many issues
let people know what is on your mind
Allow people to come to you with their issues with out you getting upset
Practice the Fruit of the Spirit
Be The First to Forgive, even if you dont think they deserve it.
Dont wait for them to ask go ahead and forgive
Pray through it
its not easy
when you start to linger on the past, when you feel the rage come up the first thing we need to do is pray through it.
Through prayer we can ask all things
through faith we get though all things
Make Goals
2 things we need to stop doing
Stop making excuses
for your sins
for your time and commitment
for you self
for your children
your choices
