The year of God's Power
Psalm 110:3a (KJV) — Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power ....
Revelation 7:12 (NKJV) — 12 saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”
The general picture emerges (except when the text is amended) of a host of volunteers rallying to their leader in a holy war.
In the first line there is a touch of the Song of Deborah, when ‘the people offered themselves willingly’
Judges 5:2 (NKJV) — 2 “When leaders lead in Israel, When the people willingly offer themselves, Bless the Lord!
but the expression is even bolder here:
Literally, this means that ‘your people (will be) freewill offerings’,
This describes the Pauline pictures of ‘a living sacrifice’ or of a life poured out ‘as a libation’
Romans 12:1 (NKJV) — 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
Philippians 2:17 (NKJV) — 17 Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
2 Corinthians 8:3 (NKJV) — 3 For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing,
2 Corinthians 8:5 (NKJV) — 5 And not only as we had hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God.
Thy people … willing—literally, “Thy people (are) free will offerings”; for such is the proper rendering of the word “willing,” which is a plural noun, and not an adjective (compare Ex 25:2; Ps 54:6), also a similar form (Jdg 5:2–9).
Thy people will be free willing offerings
in the day of thy power—Thy people freely offer themselves
in Thy service, enlisting under Thy banner.
Romans 12:1 (NKJV) — 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
Under the power and authority of the King of Kings
Today is the day of Gods power, this is the dispensation of the Church of Jesus Christ in which the Power of God has been vested to the Church
This difficult verse presents seven essential ideas concerning the subjects of Messiah.
(1) He would have a people who followed him.
(2) This people would be in willing subjection to him.
(3) The existence of this people would be a result of Messiah’s power.
(4) This people would appear before Messiah in great beauty—in robes of holy adorning or priestly garments.
(5) From “the womb of the dawn,” i.e., the very beginning of his reign Messiah would have such a group of followers.
(6) The followers would display the vigor of youth, i.e., they would be filled with zeal for his cause.
(7) The followers would bring refreshment to the barren world like the morning dew rejuvenates parched ground.
To sum up: this verse (as I see it) pictures the Messiah going forth in primal vigour, holiness and glory, at the head of a host which is as dedicated as those early Israelites who ‘jeoparded their lives to the death’
Judges 5:18 (NKJV) — 18 Zebulun is a people who jeopardized their lives to the point of death, Naphtali also, on the heights of the battlefield.
The Christian can identify such an army with the overcomers portrayed in Revelation 11
Revelation 12:11 (NKJV) — 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
little as he may recognize himself and his fellows in either picture.

2 Peter 3:10–11 (NKJV) — 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
2 Peter 3:14 (NKJV) — 14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;
