Here The Psalmist gives to contrasting examples. First that of the Righteous man, second that of the unrighteous. when we examine the examples given we find not only a difference of action but also a difference of destiny. This is the main difference to be seen. So, come with me as we examine the truth to be seen from God's word.

The Righteous. vs, 1-3.

What he doesn’t do.
he doesn’t listen to council that draws him from God.
Do you have people in your life that draw away from Christ? If so you need to change that. They aren’t worth the consequences.
Nor does he put himself in the position to fall-in with sinners (the ungodly).
Do you keep going back to those places that kept you from the will of God? Do you struggle with Sexual sin? How about Alcohol? Do you loose control with it? Do you lie to save yourself from humiliation (even the white ones)?
We have a responsibility too Christ to live for Him!
He does not join in on the vain (empty) things of this world.
He doesn’t join in simply because everyone else is doing this.
What he does.
He delights in the Law of the Lord.
His ultimate Joy is found in the truth of God’s word.
it doesn’t say that he does the law to delight in it. but that he finds the truth of the Law to be delightful.
we delight in Christ who is the fulfillment of the Law.
When we probe the Word of God, we find Christ over and over again! We find the promise of a savior who brings forgiveness to the lost. A home to those who don’t belong and a family to the orphan.
He meditates on the Law day and night!
do we meditate on Christ in our daily lives?
is Christ at the fore-front of your life??
This causes him to be like a tree with a never ending source of nourishment. Who brings forth fruit in its season. And whose leaf shall not wither and whatever he does shall prosper.
do you draw nourishment from the river of God’s word? Why not its available to you for free on your phone! or as cheap as a few dollars. There is no excuse.
we will bring forth the fruits of righteousness so that we can live for Christ.
we will be like an evergreen that knows no dry season.
And what we do will prosper because what we will do will be in the will of God.

The Unrighteous. vs 4-6.

What he can’t do.
he can’t find Joy because he is like chaff in the wind, blown away.
all the things he tries to fill his life with are vain and useless. actions cannot bring righteousness. nor can wealth or friends or good deeds. But instead they build it all just to loose it.
he cannot stand (be acquitted) in the day of Judgment. nor can he enjoy the fellowship with the saints.
God knows the righteous (the saved) but he reserves his wrath for the ungodly.
