The Third Commandment
Exodus 33:19 And he said, “I will make all
My goodness pass before you and will
proclaim before you my name ‘The LORD.’
Exodus 34:5-6 The LORD descended in the
cloud and stood with him there,
and proclaimed the name of
the LORD. The LORD passed before him and
proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD, a God
merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and
abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,
Leviticus 19:12 You shall not swear by My
name falsely, and so profane the name of
your God: I am the LORD.
Deuteronomy 18:20 But the prophet who
presumes to speak a word in My name
that I have not commanded him to speak,
or who speaks in the name of other gods,
that same prophet shall die.’
Leviticus 18:21 You shall not give any of
your children to offer them to Molech, and
so profane the name of your God: I am
the LORD.
Leviticus 22:31-32 So you shall keep My
commandments and do them: I am
the LORD. And you shall not profane My holy
name, that I may be sanctified among the
people of Israel. I am the LORD who sanctifies
you,
Psalm 86:11 Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may
walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name.
Psalm 86:12 I give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with
my whole heart, and I will glorify Your name forever.
Psalm 92:1 It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to
sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
Psalm 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that
is within me, bless His holy name!
Psalm 80:18 We will call upon Your name!
Psalm 33:21 For our heart is glad in Him, because
we trust in His holy name.
Colossians 3:17 Whatever you do, in
word or deed, do everything in the
name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks
to God the Father through Him.
