Isaiah 34-35
Good evening church!
This is a continued pronouncement against the Assyrians for coming against Judah in Isaiah’s day, but there is a larger vision here that Isaiah is prophesying about.
Notice the language change to a plurality as he speaks to the nations.
This speaks to the great tribulation
Everything is primed and ready for that day, the birth pangs that the Bible mentions are all present.
Temple is ready to be rebuild - Matthew 24:15 NKJV - "15 "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand),"
Revelation 14:20 NKJV - "20 And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses' bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs."
ARMAGEDDON
Luke 21:36 NKJV - "36 "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.""
This is what we were talking about Sunday in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
The Edomites: Jacob and Esau twins.
Armageddon - final battle with the nations being led by anti christ Jesus Christ will return to earth with the armies of heaven (Matthew 25:31; Revelation 19:14); His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:4); He will defeat the forces of evil (Revelation 19:15–16); He will cast the Antichrist and the false prophet into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20); He will bind Satan; and He will set up His kingdom on earth for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1–6).
At Armageddon the Lord Jesus Christ “treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty” (Revelation 16:19), and all things will be made right.
This bloodshed is a payment for sin, just like animal sacrifice was a blood payment, this is a payment against a Christ rejecting world, or the nations.
unparalleled ecological disaster.
Before Jesus Christ returns at the end of the great tribulation, one-third of the earth’s vegetation, one-third of the oceans, and one-third of fresh waters will be destroyed and unusable (Revelation 8, 16).
After the 5th trumpet sounds
Revelation 9:5-6 NKJV - "5 And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months.
Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.
6 In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them."
So much of the world will be destroyed to the point of being unable to sustain human life.
Only the wild beasts will occupy it.
