The Headline: Your marriage refers to Christ and the church (v.32)
Marriage is not about you, but your marriage refers to Christ and the church.
The Gospel is the goal of your marriage.
Not financial stability, sexual fulfillment, friendship, companionship, child raising, You need to know the main goal,
My goal is to rest the area on the highway. No, your goal is at our home.
If you are making money is your goal, it’s not good. It’s a secondary thing.
So, we need to know that your goal is for the gospel.
· The Gospel is the nourishment your marriage needs.
Your marriage life is the reflection of Christ and the Church.
The Gospel: Lord, Sin, Savior, Faith to nourish your marriage!
So, I’ve got to know what the LORD says…
Your wife is not perfect, so you must lead her to live in the gospel.
You say I am sorry to your wife. Your marriage will flourish!
Another marriage Scripture 4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
3 Encouragement for husbands:
1. Husbands are called to lead (v. 25)
a. Unique responsibility to reflect Christ.
b. What kind of leadership calling us to?
2. Husbands are called to lead like servants. (v. 25)
a. You have to die for her and take the cross for her!
b. Which one is hard?
i. Submit or die? Yes, “You die for your wife.” So, your wife is glad to serve you!
ii. Christ shed his blood!
Mark 10:45: For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
3. Husbands don’t need a Phd in love; they need (v. 25)
a. We don’t need all answers!
b. Please see any education requirement for Phd. You don’t need to know all the answers. We think that leadership is knowledge, but serving needs..
c. We have to follow who Jesus is.
i. Good coach: good leader knows how to delegate the team to function well.
ii. A good leader needs to initiate even you don’t have answer!

3. Name one or two ways that you’d like to initiate with your wife this week.
