Deuteronomy 6:4–9 KJV 1900
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
“There are 940 Saturdays before your baby turns 18, and 260 of them are gone by their 5th birthday.”
Critical Years Points...
3 John 4 KJV 1900
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

1. Illustrated

Deuteronomy 6:4–6 KJV 1900
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
2 Timothy 1:5 KJV 1900
When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
“What is most important to you will be most important to your kids.”
“You get what you honor.” - Michael Jordan/Missionary example
“We reproduce what we are.”

2. Instructed

Deuteronomy 6:7 KJV 1900
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

3. Intentional

Deuteronomy 6:7 KJV 1900
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
We have to intentionally train our children.
We have to train our children with a goal in mind.
If you want to impact your child for Christ, you do not have to be perfect, you have to be consistent.

4. Influence

Deuteronomy 6:8–9 KJV 1900
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
“Speak Scripture, you can only speak Scripture if you know Scripture.”
Isaiah 55:11 KJV 1900
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: It shall not return unto me void, But it shall accomplish that which I please, And it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Hebrews 4:12 KJV 1900
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
