We are going to.

Try to attack the message that I was for scheduled to preach Christmas morning. that I thought was just

Christmas morning needed a time of reflection, not a time of introspection. So today you get a chance to introspect. I'm going to start reading from 1st, Peter 4 and I want to read a chunk of it and then we're going to take what we need and run with it, okay? 1st Peter 4 start out this way. Show then since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourself with the same attitude, he had, and be ready to suffer 24. If you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin, you won't spend the rest of your lives, chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do, the will of God. You have enough time in the past of people, things that Godless people enjoy with their immorality and lost their feasting and drunkenness, and wild parties in the terrible worship of Idols. Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild destructive, things that they do. so they slander you But remember that they'll have to face God who stands ready to judge. Everyone, both the living and the dead. That's why the good news was preached to those who are now dead, although they were destined to die, like all people. They now live forever with God in the spirit, the end of the world is coming soon. Therefore be Earnest and disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all continue to show deep love for each other for love covers, a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who are in need or need a meal or place to stay. First 10, God has given each of you a gift from his great. Variety of spiritual gifts, use them. Well to serve one. In the New Testaments, there are three places where the gifts are listed. And none of these are exhausted lists. God can give anything he wants to anybody. Anytime that's the definition of God, God can do it. But it's interesting to me that each of these three places, say that a different member of the godhead gives these gifts. I don't know if you ever noticed that 1st Corinthians. 12 7 through 11 tells us that the spirit gives us the gifts. Romans 12, 6 to 8 is talking about God, the Father who gives good gifts Ephesians 4:11 to 60 and tells us the gifts Christ gives to the church which are past Apostle Prophet evangelist. Almost all of the gifts, whether they're from the father, son, or holy spirit, that they are for us to serve each other.

How much is the only gift for our benefit? The gift of tongues and it's so that we can build ourselves up. That's in First Corinthians or 14, by the way, I gave you notes. I should say, I did not give you notes, I printed them off and left them in my Bible till about 5 minutes ago. So if you don't have a sheet of this, make sure you get one on the way out because my, I'm going to go through a whole lot of scripture that you should probably research later to make sure I'm telling the truth on, okay. Use it as it as a study guide for you because I'm just going to be flying through all of this stuff, okay?

The end of what we read first, Peter 4 10 to 11, God has given you each a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts, use them to serve one. Another then he gives us two examples. Do you have the gift of speaking than speak? Is of God himself was speaking through you. And do you have the gift of helping others, do it with a strength and energy that God Supply?

How do you know that when you speak your speaking? The very words of God, How do you know when you're helping others? You're doing it with the strength. He provides those are great questions. I'm so glad you asked. We know we're not doing it right. We know when the words we speak tear down instead of build-up. We know when we are agreeing with the Enemy over someone's life. We just, we knew it. We know the tons are Tongues can blast and their tongues can curse. Our tongues can build up in their tongues can't tear down. We need to be in control of our time but we can't without holy spirit's help. He's the one that enables us to control our time.

We know we can serve it and we can be doing good, but we can grow tired and weary and disappointed and unappreciated. and, We need to look at our motives in that. Like, are we doing it for the show? Are we doing it to look good? Are we doing it? Because it needs to be done and nobody's doing it. I'm going to do it or are we doing it as unto the Lord? I'll unpack this word L on here, but when we work, as unto the Lord with her whole heart, that means we'd make the decision to work. It means we we we do something we were and then we get this feeling that is often peace cuz we're trusting God to work it all out in the end, right? Like, if I have to do this work on that takes away time from this so I'm trusting God, but also have time for this if I have to do this work in here, Okay, we'll get into that. Just a little bit.

I did the thing that jumped out in, jumped out to me as I studied, for this message was Peter used. The gift, you got the gift of speaking and he's got the gift of serving. And it's jumped out to me, that Jesus only did what he saw. The father do when he only said, what he heard the father say, He's our example in this.

How do we speak? The very words of God? How do we serve with the strength? God provides? I have a couple of tools for you today. Like I said, you need this sheet cuz we're going to be flying through them. Okay.

These tools will help you in any speaking or serving gift. The gifts in those three places can be divided up into Gifts of. There are eight Gifts of speaking 6 Gifts of serving and four get signed gifts. So I'm not dealing with the sign gifts today, but I'm telling you these tools will help with all the speaking gifts and all the serving gifts.

but what if you don't have a gift for the speaking and what if you don't have a gift of serving Two. Other three questions. I'm so glad you asked where all told to let nothing come out of our mouths that isn't for the building up of others. So, if we're going to do that, why don't we just take it a step further and seek to speak the very words of God. Because when we speak the very words of God, we know their life, we know their hope, we know they're building up and not tearing down. We're all tools in our freedom to serve one another in love. It's our responsibility to serve each other in love. So if we're, if it's our responsibility, why don't we do it with the strength that he provides?

You can do it. Don't sit here and think while I don't have those gifts. So this isn't for me. Yeah, you have the responsibility. This is totally for you. It'll help all of us. If we have the gifts or we don't have the gifts, it'll help all of us to do what God tells us to do for each other, which is to always build up and a serve in life.

Let's dive into them. First of all, I have is the, do I speak the very words of God to him. And the word I'm using for us to remember is of course speak. So when we speak speak, we're going to stay in the word. We're going to prepare to give a reason for the hope that we have. We're going to expect is Flo a, we're going to always keep in step with Holy Spirit and see, we're going to know on fellowship with people whose know how to speak the truth in love. Okay. Let's let's expand that. Stay in the word of God. Colossians 3:16 Says that the word of Christ dwell in you richly. Teaching and managing one another with all wisdom, singing, Psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your heart, to God.

We can't. Look at this book and say I've learned it in Sunday School. we can't say that I've read through the book, it was 20 years ago but I read through the book We can't think it if we don't know Greek or Hebrew will never really understand this book. Wait, we can't Use the excuse that. I'm not a good reader. I can't read this book. We can't even use the excuse that at the English isn't my first language. Okay. We live in the city of in this Epoch of time, where anyone of us? I've got 47 English translations of you, Greek and Hebrew, in a few random ones from all over the world that I like, I can't really read French, but sometimes it's fun to read it in French. I can't really read Portuguese at all, but it's fun to look at, there is no excuse for you, not to not only get the language, you can read and understand the best. But also the translation that makes the most sense to you. Now, if you want to talk about translations, I will talk to you at Forever about them because I You can trust any single one. I don't like all of them but I do like a lot of them generally, not somebody sitting down trying to rewrite the Bible. Generally they are scores of of very gifted and talented people who argue over every word to get it. What they think is right? In every translation is a few ones that you can read devotional a, but this don't really anyway, I can talk to you about those later, but anyway,

The word of God is this Buck their logos where the physical but we need to be in it regularly. I want to say daily You need to let it read us. What I mean by that is I just go when I'm reading songs, are great for this, I just read the Psalms until something. There's an emotional truth that jumps out at me. That's how I'm feeling today and then I can't be out there for a while or sometimes if I'm reading through. The the gospels I just read until I've been reading this book since I was five years old. Okay, that's

Late last century before the internet, I was reading this book and they're still stuff that jumps out of me that I might have forgotten, or I never knew or I've never seen it. This is life. You read this book, it comes alive, and if it it is it. The thing about spiritual things, the more you do it, the easier it becomes. If it's tough plow through, ask questions, understand it. However you can but keep on keeping on and it becomes easier, it becomes natural, it becomes your life, it becomes your swords. If you want to speak the very words of God, you need to know the very word of God, not only this, but the person of Jesus, the word. And when he explains the book to you, that's life.

Let the word of Christ while in you richly. And you'll find when you speak, you'll speak the very words of God. Know how many times something jumps out at me? And I'm like, oh, that is that's just amazing. I've learned to look for a conversation to fit that in cuz I so often they comes up. So often somebody's got a question that this answers or so often somebody I'm going to see that week or that day needs. What I just deposited in me. Be in the book. Let the book read you. You need to be in the word and you got to let the word reach you. Question, you can ask, am I in the word and do I let it read me.

So we stay in the word and pee is you. We need to prepare to give a reason for the hope that you have 1st Peter 3:15 says instead we must worship Christ as Lord that you must worship Christ as Lord of your life and if someone asked you about your hope is a Believer, you ready to explain it? Are you ready to give a reason when someone asks about your hope?

when you're in the word, daily, that reason will deepen, and it will expand But all of us have a journey with God. and even if it's I've got faith and I want to understand it. It's ft, she's seeking understanding. That's a story to be told. Even if you don't have all the answers, it's okay. Prepare the easiest thing to do is to prepare to tell your story. So paper to pen. Buttons to keyboard, it doesn't matter. You can you can write out what is what is how why are you Christian? Why is God so awesome? What would you say? If somebody ask the reason for your hope,

Not in my day job, I get to go. It's a faith-based company, we're part of, but we can't bring feed into it unless somebody asks us about it. So we're very sensitive to be planting seeds and watering seeds and Shining rights. Whatever, that means It's asking the questions to draw people out. I had one guy pulled me aside and

Yeah. She's like are you guys Christians? And I'm like, since you're asking, yes, what are you? And he goes, yeah. He's he's from Saint Lucia. And he said, for in my country, Everybody knows who the Christians are and I leaned over to him and I said, in Canada, we have to be more sneaky. and, and I mean, he understand that we are working with Muslims and atheists and Hindus and all kinds of people and we we want to bring God's love to them first.

I think I found with it is the more I'm prepared to share about Jesus. The more I'm freed up this year about Jesus, the more opportunity I have to share about Jesus. And that's just not true in the work I do. It's in everyday life.

I I I know that if you take the time to work out, what does God mean to me? And just write it out. Maybe talk to people that help you formulate your store. And it's not, I have the story and I'm going to read it to you now, it might be, maybe you posted on social media, maybe you give it to somebody in it, that's the first app. You give them your story instead of talk about your story. But I guarantee you.

When you follow the prompt of Holy Spirit to be able to tell your story, you're going to have more and more times that you can share your story.

Are you prepared to talk about the reason for the hope that you have?

Is if you want to speak the very words of God, your practice explaining. What Jesus means to you, write out your story, talk about it to friends, Renly friends are going to, you know what I mean. You grab someone before you leave and tell him your story.

So when we speak the very words of God, we need to stay in the word. We need to prepare to give a reason to hope. You have you, you need to expect his flow. What do I mean by that? Luke 12, 11 and 12. Says, when you are brought into a trial, this is Jesus speaking. When you are brought into a trial in the synagogues or before the rulers and authorities, I don't worry about how to defend yourself or what to say for the holy spirit will teach you at that time. What needs to be sad? So you prepared your story but don't worry about sharing your story, you're in the word. But don't worry, if you got chapter and verse you're in the word, you're prepared to share your story. And then when that moment comes, you don't have to worry that. You got all the right words in place. You you you how, how do you, how do you

The way you learn to keep in step with holy spirit, is to follow those nudges. He gives you and just see what takes place. So, you have that nudge to call somebody or to email somebody or to text somebody. Just do it. See what happens, how you doing? I've been if you can say you're praying for you, like be sure. Pray for them and then Sam and praying for you. What's going on? If you can't ask that, just ask him. What's going on?

See what happens. Then your confidence starts to grow. You begin to see, you begin to see what God wants. Did want you to do? I had the coolest thing happened for a while, it's kind of happening now. So pay attention. When when, when I went, when all the hairs on my arm would stand up. I would just, it would be like a wind was blowing. And at first, I was looking at, always look for the winter, like, a door opened or were sitting under air conditioning, but when those cases it was a complete guide, what are you going to do? What do you want me to see? How do you want me to say it? What do you love about this person? Sitting in front of me. and, You begin to follow the spirits leading that way. There are all kinds of different ways. The holy spirit is God, you can connect with you, in any way that makes sense to you or doesn't make sense to you, but just you got

Passed out those little nudging because they'll grow in time. And then I'm just going to tell you something now in time, they will stop.

Because Jesus said I no longer call you servants because you've obeyed me. I call you friend because you know what I'm doing. So, when you get to the place of knowing what God's doing and you're already obeying him, he doesn't need to direct your steps. So, radically and that momentarily, if you're starting out in this journey, starting out in in, in sharing your face, starting out in, in, in the word, look for those matches.

But I think there's people here that is like, oh, I haven't had enough from God from so, well, long. And you're thinking, Am I falling away from him? I don't think so. What's going on? Well, guess what? He's calling you. You're his friend. He's trusting you to do the right thing. So do the right thing. Do his will.

Speak the very word of God. You stay in the word, you prefer to give a reason for the hope that you have. You expect his whole is his flow. Any we have to say, it always keep in step with the spirit. Galatians 5:25.

Since we are living by the spirit, let's follow the spirit leading in every part of our lives. Now, we need to know in context here. Verse 16 of Galatians 5. It says

So I say let the holy spirit, guide your lives, then you won't be doing what your sinful nature, craves. So that's the context here to the following to keep in step with. Holy spirit means we are saying yes to his spiritual gifts being formed in us and no to the acts that come to steal kill and destroy

It-it's. We we need his help to do this, but he gives his help freely to help us.

If we have not been saying no to the, the acts of The Flash,

he's giving us the tools of confession and repentance.

And we confess that those words, we say those things, we do those, those, whatever that we agree that it's in, we confess that we have sinned.

And confession, repentance. Is we with holy spirit's help, turn around and go the opposite direction. You change your mind with holy spirit's help. And go stop thinking the way we've been thinking and start thinking the way he he wants us to think.

Step is if you want to speak the very words of God, you keep shorts short accounts with God.

Because none of us have it all together and all of us stumble in many ways.

The thing that we've I hope we will learn. it is to keep account short with God when we stumble, we go to him and we find Grace We find grace and mercy to help.

Keep it the question you can ask yourself is, am I keeping in step with Holy Spirit? Am I saying no to the things that come to steal kill and destroy? Am I saying yes to Love and Enjoy the Feast of Eastern sky. This a business, the Faithful is the gentleness and self-control.

Finally. We're going to stay in the word. We're going to prepare to give a reason for the hope you have or can expect the flow. We're going to always keep in step with the spirit. And the key in speak reminds us to know and fellowship with people who speak the truth in love.

Who are you hanging out with?

Whose opinion do you value?

Do you speak life or death? Do they lift you up or do they pull you down?

We all need people who can speak truth in love into our lives.

The world is really big right now talking about truth. Truth speakers rate, Bible tells us we're just speak the truth in love

We just don't speak the truth.

So how do you speak the truth in love or that takes wisdom? And it takes Grace. And it takes practice, and it takes apology.

If is, if you want the very words of God, be a person who speaks the truth in love.

Do you speak the truth in love?

If someone has jumped into your brain right now that you need to go and apologize to Write it down. So you don't forget, then go apologize to them.

It's amazing. What happens when we humble ourselves to people? What time does Family?

Sometimes it's co-workers, sometimes it's Neighbors.

But if we simply go to them and say, listen, I'm learning how to speak the truth in love.

I didn't speak that truth in love. Please forgive me.

Something happens and things will break.

Well, if they forgive you, if they choose, not to forgive you, that's on them. But anyway.

You can't do this in your own strength or ability. You can't go through these. Tool this tool and think that. Okay, I just have to read the Bible more. Okay. I just need to, to be in the presence of God more. I just need to do this. Why? Just do, it doesn't work that way. Spiritual things work. When we work them? Yes.

You're not even hearing what I'm saying. If Holy Spirit, doesn't tell you what he wants you to hear.

It's holy spirit, that does the work in US? It's on him. So don't worry about it. Do your part. Let him do his part.

Theater goes on to say in verse 11.

Do you have the gift of helping others it with the strength and energy that got supplies?

Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Christ Jesus, all glory and power for it to him forever and ever.

so, the next two, I want to give you today is helped you with all the serving gifts and helps you even if you don't have those serving gifts and You're responding to your freedom by serving others in love. Okay. The serving gifts on the back. Am I serving it in the strength of God? That God provides? It's the acronym is serve. I would encourage you to surrender your agenda. Enjoy his like you remember to work as unto the Lord verify your seeking his kingdom and he encouraged others and be encouraged. Let's unpack that. Surrender your goals. Isaiah 64:8 says and yet. Oh Lord you are our father. We are the clay. You Are The Potter. You are that we are the clay. You're the Potter. We're all formed by your aunt.

It's so easy for us to become tired and worn out when we try to do things in our own strength and ability. Will become discouraged will become unappreciated. It just doesn't it? It feels like work. Like, the bad sense of work, the unbiblical sense of work.

When you feel those feelings, you need to go back and ask yourself in the. Am I doing this? Because I want to look good in front of others.

Is the answer is yes.

You can ask your side, is something God really wants me to do.

You and I have been given so much Authority, so much race so much power.

But all of it comes from understanding. He is God.

He is the Potter. We are the clay.

We need to find out what his plans are and do them. Not try to convince them of our plans. So he'll bless him.

Question, you can ask his do I let him be the Potter.

Ben serve reminds us to enjoy his light yoke. Jesus said, in Matthew 11, 28, to 30, you said, come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will weary and heavy burden and I will give you rest take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you because I am humble and gentle of heart and you'll find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear and the burden. I give you is light

When we carry his light, yo, we still have a burden to Care. Terry, we're still have a yolk, but it's easy and it's light.

When your burden you're carrying isn't easy and lights, you need to remember that there is help. That's an acronym unforgiving. You another tool in the middle of this, you need to hear. His goal is to make you more and more and more like Jesus. So that's the question we need to be asking. How is this making me more and more and more like Jesus.

And then we the p.m. help remember remind us to pause and ask you what of his burden can I share? Because Galatians 6:2, says share your burdens with one another.

Can I share this burden with somebody else? Do I have to carry it all myself?

Listen, I fully believe that we can carry a light and easy yoke. I believe, that's what we're created for. I believe we like we were created to walk with God in the garden of the cool of the day. And sin came into the world. And we bore the consequences, but Jesus came and took our place and offered, his us, a joke that is easy, and his burden that is light.

We need to figure out how to live with a light burden and easy, yoke. and what I'm giving you today,

Is pit itself, it is. It's it's not a how to Christianity thing. It's a, it's a, it's a, it's a I'm trying to deliver that way to, this is what I'm doing.

Am I carrying his like, you are means. You need to remember to work is under the unto the Lord. Colossians 3, 23 and 24, says whatever you do work at it, with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for human Masters. Since you know that you'll receive an inheritance from the Lord, as a reward, its the Lord Christ that you are serving whatever you do. What do we work as unto the Lord with our whole heart and includes our decision and includes our actions and includes our emotions. What does it go through these scriptures? If you if you want understand? This were our decisions when we work as unto the Lord, with her whole heart. We are honest with all of our dealings, we always speak words of Grace, we give, thanks always and we work in love. Our actions, when we work, isn't the Lord, we grow our skill sets. We focus on the work that we've been given. We work with Excellence. We work enthusiastically. Our emotions when we work as unto the Lord, with her whole heart, we feel the peace and share, peace, because we trust the father who loves us and takes care of us. If I have to work, I'm taking time away from here. I've got to trust him. If he will take care of that, I got to trust him in the work that I'm doing and it's going to be productive, and it's going to be honoring to him, and it's going to be. It's receiving my living from this job. I'm doing the best job I can with it. I am I am. Yeah. when we work with her whole heart,

we can work with a light yolk.

We can. You're probably more patient than less entitled when we know we're carrying his burden them in his yoke. And not a burden that Society puts on us. So the burden that we put on ourselves of the burden that others put on us.

Question you can ask yourself is that my working is unto the Lord and everything I do with my whole heart.

Vivian serve reminds us to verify your seeking the kingdom. First Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek the kingdom of God, above all else. And living righteously live righteously and he will give you everything you need.

Motives matter in the Kingdom. Why we do what we do matters? Jesus tells us in in the rest of the sermon of the mount seat questions, we can have you. No. Am I working for the show? Do I want to look good in my working for the doe? Am I just doing this for cash? Am I working? Cuz I worry. What did he say? Don't worry about tomorrow.

Have you been seeking the kingdom first?

when you do your working with the strength that he provides, you're trusting that he's going to take care of the rest.

Yeah. Am I seeking his kingdom and all of this?

The answer viz encourage others and be encouraged. Proverbs 11:25 says the generous will prosper and those who refreshes others will be, they themselves be refreshed, that's an excellent. Principal. I felt I needed to encourage something now, and this it comes from Isaiah 40:31.

Which says those who, wait for the Lord will renew their strength, they will Mount up with wings as eagles, they will run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. I want you to consider something now.

I know in my own life sometimes, I've been able to soar like the eagles. Sometimes, I've been able to walk run and not be weary. And sometimes all I can do is walk and not faint.

I want you to have drinks for yourself.

Has God has reached for you.

We do what we can do with the strength. He provides

sometimes we can do what we could do when we were younger. A lot of times I'm also smarter than it was you when I was younger. But

Other times or situations that come our circumstances, just that we can't do as much as we'd like to do. but we can still run and not grow weary.

It sometimes all we can do is just walk and not faint.

But in whatever season of life, you're in whatever season. What's the season of life?

We can we can only do what God gives us strength to do.

And we need to have Grace. To leave it at that.

Sometimes I know he gives Supernatural strength. It's awesome. And I know sometimes went when I haven't had time to work on this, but I have to work on this. Say, it's when I have time to work on this, it goes so much better than I ever expected. I would love that.

I'll tell you, I got you. The questions on the sermon. I didn't know the answers. But it would have my visits. I didn't even have a pen or paper. I left my phone at home which I should never do. I didn't even have my pain was sitting next to my phone on my desk so I didn't even have a pain. I had to borrow a pen and then all of these starts Foster to come to me for this. But sometimes it doesn't happen that way.

And we all need to know that we can expect more of ourselves and God expects of us.

but whatever, he expects for us to do, if we work at it with all of our heart, If we, we're serving him not others. If we are, are Doing it. His light yolk in his light burden. If it's for his glory and not for us to look good.

He takes care of it.

in our rule in that is, wherever if we are walking, if we are soaring, if we are running

Our rule really used to encourage others. And build each other up.

So, what I'm trying to say is God has grease for you.

In Greece. Is that thing that helps us accomplish things we can't do on her own.

So, if I can only do so much. This creates, it's like boundless it. If there's no way to Market, you can do so much more

and sometimes he'll do it by energizing us to do it. Way, Beyond anything we could do on her own.

So how do you speak the very words of God, you stay in the word, you prepared to give a reason for every hope. These are for the hope that you have. You expect the flow, you always keep in step with the spirit, you know, one fellowship with people who know how to speak the truth in love.

And how do you serve with the strength? He provides you surrender your agenda. You enjoy his light yolk, you remember to work as unto the Lord you verify that you're seeking his kingdom first and you encourage others and be encouraged.

That's how you serve with the strength, God provides.

I want to leave you with a blessing that I'm kind of folded a few times already, but it's it's 2nd Thessalonians 1:11. It's called is running to the church in Thessalonians and he says may God and Evil you to live a life worthy of your call. And make it. He give you the power to accomplish every good work. Prompted by your faith. Can we stand for?

Heavenly father, I do pray.

Lord, I pray that you would give us eyes to see what you're doing.

Ears to hear what you would want us to say. Hearts to respond to what you would want us to do.

Because I know father that right now in this place, you've given us everything we need. Every person we need every resource. We need to do the work that you want us to do. Now today,

And I know Lord guy that you will bring every person we need tomorrow. You'll give every resource we need tomorrow. You'll give everything that we have. Every every action that we need tomorrow in its proper time, and it's in his proper season. So Lord, I pray right now for everyone who feels like they can't do what they used to do or can't do what they wanted you. I pray Lord that your grace would have bound to them and they would know that you Lord God for them and not against them and you're still working through them work. I pray for those that are searching for what are they supposed to do? And how are they supposed to act and Lord that you would give them?

Spirit of wisdom and Revelation to know the hope that they've been called. And the Glorious inheritance for us.

Help us to only do what we see the father doing only say what we hear the father say,

Help us to be all become more and more like Jesus.

And Lord help us to share the blessing that comes from that in our lives. Share the stories to share. Share the experiences to share the grace. Lord God.

You're doing something in us that we can't even see right now. But you're going to finish that good work. You've started in US. And I thank you for that father in your name, we pray. Amen. you may be seated, just a few short announcements, I think

Amen. Thank you. Pastor ever. I just was really impressed by the Holy Spirit. We have to get back to some of the things we used to do as a church. One of the things God reminded me of his we used to dedicate a whole day every week just soaking. Every Wednesday, we still open up the church and all day long people could just come and soak in the presence of God.

That was one of the most. Powerful days of the week for me. because, I can't tell you the number of times, Holy Spirit was just show up in powerful ways and just set everything, right? They just put everything in motion just

Something we need soap want to do for the next little bit today is. I know many of you just joined us in the last two years and it's it's literally been three years since we've been soaking. But I want to take some time this morning and and just kind of explain what it is. And soaking is just simply something you do where you acquired yourself before. God, so you can hear what he's saying. That's as simple as it is. We we play music using without lyrics and it's just an opportunity for you to acquire something else. Some of the things to learn is most of us have a very hard time fighting ourselves because as soon as you quiet yourself what happened to start thinking of all the things you need to do, everything just keeps coming in and that's okay. So part of stoking is sweet. We would normally tell you to like have a a pad of paper and a pen. And if something comes into your mind, just write it down that way, you can move on. And as you start soaking and new to you, if I can take you 15, 20 minutes to get into that space, and that's okay. Take the time you need. But I should get more fluids into it. It it becomes something where you can just naturally experience, presence of God. Now, what do you do during this time? Will you do whatever the holy spirit is leading you to do? It might be a time where you can ask questions and just hear God respond to those questions. That's great. It could be a time or he just direct you to certain passage of scripture to read into to meditate on those things. It could be a time where you start showing you visions and and he starts speaking into you things that you didn't even think were possible.

But I believe that this is absolutely Paramount for us. To not just survive the season that were in but actually to become the vessel that God wants us to be to bring healing to this world.

So let let you take the next few minutes. And if this is new to you, if it's not, well, keep going with it.

Ardently. Father. I asked holy spirit that you would just come and fill this place.

Right now.

Father, that you would give your people what they need in this moment. Whether its comfort. Whether it's healing. whether it's rest, whether it's wisdom for discernment or your peace.

Holy Spirit, whatever your people need in this moment. I just prayed and asked you would deliver that to them.

Holy Spirit, we open ourselves up to you right now.

And we simply say, spirit of God. Speak to us the words that we need to hear.

Show us things. Do you want us to see?

Now, just quiet yourself before the Lord. If you you want to stand up and walk around, that's fine. If you want to lay down on the carpet that's what I love to do.

But just do whatever. Makes you feel comfortable in the presence of God.

Strength.

In his rest.
