Psalms 27, Let Us Be a Church That Seeks the Lord
Psalm 27: Let Us Be a Church That Seeks the Lord.
The flame is in the pew. The fire is in the pulpit.
Isaiah 55:6: Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
We ought always to pray. A dusty Bible means a dirty life. We need a spiritual appetite of more of God.
Psalm 27:4: One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
Only God gets praise. Make seeking the Lord a lifestyle. God reigns. His mercy endures forever. [I Chronicles 16:8: Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth].
Seek Him continually. [Exodus 15:2: The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him].
God is beautiful. [I Chronicles 16:28: Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength].
Jeremiah 33:3: Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
Romans 1:19-25: Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
