Recap
God saw it was good illustration- Kelty drawing
Genesis 1:31 NIV
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
As we talked about last week, One of the first places we see Godly cadence is in the rhythm of creation. When God created the cosmos He was clearly in “the groove,” and everything He made was, “good.”

God’s Creation was Good

And humans were not only designed in divine rhythm but with a biological cadence hard-wired into us.
We talked last week about the Biological rhythm and why it is important,
Last week we talked about the circadian rhythms, lets dive a bit more into how God designed us
circadian rhythm picture
Jocko Willink: While Discipline and Freedom seem like they sit on opposite sides of the spectrum, they are actually very connected. Freedom is what everyone wants — to be able to act and live with freedom. But the only way to get to a place of freedom is through discipline.
We can see this in the way Jesus lived
Mark 1:35 NIV
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
Jesus made time to pray, he had the discipline to make sure He was spending time with the Father. even early in the morning
God designed us with this rhythm to be set up for success
Waking up to the first alarm makes us win the first battle of the day.
This sets us up for more discipline

Spiritual Discipline

As Christians we have this issue called the Flesh
Galatians 5:17 NIV
For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
One of the many things about the flesh is that it does not want what the Spirit wants
The flesh is lazy
The quote from Jocko Freedom is being set free from sin
Galatians 5:1 NIV
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Francis Chan says that it is that we don’t get to sin, we don’t have to sin
