I’ve been thinking a lot about how God makes us “changed”
I’ve been thinking a lot about how God makes us “changed”
We don’t feel different.
We may not look a whole lot different.
So what is it that makes us different when we meet Jesus and find peace in sobriety?
Talking with Andrew on Wednesday...
Talking with Andrew on Wednesday...
At some point you have to know what God has said about you is true…you have to believe that.
When you believe it, you can see it…when you see it, you can say it…when you can say it, you can do it..
Adam had a hard time believing what God said was true…BECAUSE IT SEEMS TOO GOOG TO BE TRUE!!
THAT’S THE GOSPEL…the too good to be true news.
A New Creation
A New Creation
“From now on, then, we do not know anyone from a worldly perspective. Even if we have known Christ from a worldly perspective, yet now we no longer know him in this way. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come! Everything is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us.” (2 Corinthians 5:16–19, CSB)
Andrew, Mark...
If any man has....
abandoned their old life because they know they were made for something more.
has stopped going it alone and found strength in the love of others.
has found the only way to peace and sobriety is through Jesus.
knows he’s imperfect but also knows he is loved and valued beyond measure....
That man is in Christ, and that man is a NEW CREATION…he has finally discovered what he was truly meant to be.
