Theme: Esther's Peril
Key verse: v.4
17 verses; 517 words
Grade level: 9.5
Outline:
Mordecai's Request. Vs.1-14
Esther's Response. Vs.15-17
There are three TYPES of people we see have a “for such a time as this”:

I. The Biblical People That Experienced This.

Noah with the Ark.
Abraham with Isaac.
Joseph when his brothers came looking for food.
Moses while tending the flock.
David when the Giant was taunting.
Peter at Pentecost.

II. The Historical People That Experienced This.

The faithful church member that showed up when most were snowed in. Spurgeon was saved that day.
The Pacific Garden Mission had a street preaching man by the name of Harry Monroe. You may never have heard of him, but his street preaching won Billy Sunday to the Lord in 1886.
A St. Louis man hires a lawyer and speaks to him about the Lord. Cyrus Ingerson Scofield was saved.
A man goes off to college and earns his degree to become a doctor. His sister talks to him one day after graduating and leads him to Christ. His name is J. Harold Smith.

III. The Present People that Can Experience This.

The Christian that is concerned for the souls of people.
The Christian that is not looking to lead the next famous evangelist/pastor to the Lord.
The Christian that is faithful doing what the Lord wants them to do.
The definition of faithful: loyal, consistent
Conclusion:
Will you be faithful so that when your “such a time as this” time comes you will be there?
