The tradition started when Jesus was here on earth, in Mark 10:16 as the people brought their children to Jesus and put them in His arms

Lillia’s name in Hebrew means “What belongs to me belongs to God”

Her middle name “Joy” means “Happiness”

The really neat thing about the name “Joy” many names are given to children that are associated with the description of having “joy”

We stand with with you today acknowledging that you both and your family have made the commitment to raise Lillia in a Godly home for the word says in Proverbs 22:6

“train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it”

We also acknowledge with you both that we have seen you have dedicated your lives as so also Lillia with you in that you commit to serving the Lord as it says in Joshua 24:15

As for us all here today as witness before you and God we the family of The Road Church commit to that as well as we speak and share into here life

As Psalm 75:4 tells us We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord his power and the wonders he has done”

We also want to speak and sing and pray the Lord’s blessings upon your new family

When Moses had the people of Israel on the wilderness journey God had him speak over the families and people these words in Numbers 6:24-26
