As also there are not three uncreated nor three incomprehensible, but one uncreated and one incomprehensible. So likewise the Father is almighty, the Son almighty, and the Holy Spirit almighty. And yet they are not three almighties, but one almighty. So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God; And yet they are not three Gods, but one God

He is uncreated, self-sustaining, all-powerful, eternal, and Holy.

Why does this stuff matter?

One of the clearest differences between the true God of the bible and every other form of deity, aka man made God, is how He relates to us.

Every other religion focuses on God as a judge of human achievement.

They are all some kind of being that is either an arbitrary judge that awaits us at the end of time, or just some mystical force that determines the origin of the universe.

Our God is personal, meaning He has initial relationships with His people.

He is also merciful, because instead of leaving us to solve the issue of righteousness ourselves, He condescended to us, and made a way for us to know and be loved by Him.

Our Triune God in complete agreement saves us from our sin. The we were chosen, redeemed and sanctified by God and will one day be with Him.
