Jesus will pronounce 7 prophetic woes to the scribes and Pharisees, (indictment and accusation PPT). Listing all the ways they hinder the people in coming to God. This will be like an opposite of the beatitudes and the sermon in the mount – well all of Jesus teaching. Or what happens when people don’t live by them. (But just pretend to).

First: Woe, scribes and Pharisees, = Hypocrites. Actors is preventing people to enter the kingdom of heaven. Problem you prevent people from entering the kingdom of heaven, like you are shut a door, and your will not enter either. (Blessed are the poor in spirt)

Second: Woe, the people you go after to talk about God, after your teaching you make them 2 times more ready for hell that yourself. (Your teaching leads to death /hell). False teaching.

Third: Woe, blind guides leaders (Matthew 15:14), your so blind that you don’t know, what has value, you think it is the gold and the offerings. No, you bind fools, the one that dwells at the temple: God is what is the most important and give the temple and gold value. The temple. That alter makes the gift sacred, - Problem is value and getting out of swearing, Jesus ends with Hey everything is Gods, and the one on the throne, me you swear by, so stop doing it, or repent and honor what you swear. Also how about you just live out your faith instead of taking many vows, who is ruler in heaven? Not you… Stop the religious sayings and actions and live who God is… (Blessed are the meek Power under control). Instead of fake promises and focus. Matthew 5: 33-37 Let your Yes be a Yes.

Forth woe, your religious tithe, of your spices, - But you got some problems, you neglect to show justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have done both, instead, you swallow a camel, and remove a small fly, Jesus is in pictures trying to make them see how ridiculous they are. Tithe small spices, but not caring about people, and having justice done, and showing mercy, and being faithful. (Blessed are the who hunger and thirst for righteousness they shall be satisfied). Matthew 6. When you give to the needy it is not you should be seen. PPT Mika 6:7-8

Fifth woe, you are fill of greed and self-indulgence, but you dress nicely and pretend and act like you are very religious. You are hypocrites that look good on the outside but you need cleaning the inside, then the outside will also made clean, not the other way around. (gospel massage and point to the beatitudes again,)

Sixth woe, they are hypocrites full of lawlessness, but on the outside are like nice graves, beautiful on the outside but inside full of death, (It is not about what other people see, but about what God sees, and he sees our heart, all of who we are, what we think, motives, we may fool others but not God). Layup treasures in heaven Matthew 6. For where you treasure it there will your heart also be. You cannot serve God and money. PPT white washed tombs. (Are you more concerned about what people see than what God sees?)

Seventh woe, you think highly about yourself, that you would have listened to the prophets and not killed them, but you are wrong, very wrong you did not listen to John, and you what to kill me… no you are your fathers’ children that killed the prophets that wanted the people to repent at follow God, stop oppressing the poor, widows and the foreigners. You’re like serpents’ sons of vipers. Jesus asks a good question; how will you escape being sentenced to hell? What is your plan? Hypocrites, blind guides, sons of snakes, false teachers, full of lawlessness, greed, self-indulgence, unjust, without mercy, and unfaithful, but you look the part as you try to get the praise of man, but you don’t know God or the scriptures that you say you are experts in. Therefore, what is your plan? How will you not go to hell? Trees cut down because of bad fruit, judgment on the false teachers. Matthew I never knew you… Matthew 7:23.

No response, Jesus then says, I send you prophets, wise men, scribes, - but the bad news is you still don’t listen instead you will kill, crucify, flog and persecute them. Therefore, on this generation will all the blood spilled all the way from Able (the first murder) til this time. PPT Last one about Merisem.

It will happen soon, Jesus is now as he has been teaching his disciples talking about what will happen soon… Jesus will make a way, for people to repent and come to God and not have to pay for the many sins and rebellion and got to hell, we and they had done against God, Jesus asks a question and gives the answer himself, if they will listen.

The people say let his blood be on our heads and our children’s, Matthew 27:24-26

If you / we have been exposed, our motives are not Gods but ours, or need for affirmation from people, or we look to Jesus to give us worldly sesuses, even purpose so other can see my worth? But have we not missed the good news then?

That it is not what we do that give us worth and value, but who God made us to be, but how will we escape judgment and hell, for stealing God’s glory and praise as we take credit for what Gods does. Or even using Jesus as a therapist and genie, instead of the Lord God, God did not primely send his son to give us what we wanted but what we needed, God send his son that whoever believes in him will have eternal life, because he loved us first, as John writes, but do we love Jesus? What do we live for? And can it be seen? What is of most value to you? (Job, Kids, education, money, fame, status, spruce). What are our daily prayers? Where do our money and time go? Where do value come from?

The followers of Jesus have always been strange, different than the world, this has not changed, we need to be different, or the people cannot see our light, what do you mean, back to Jesus’ teaching, you are the light of the world, shine and salt have a flavor that is only found in me, said Jesus.

Cleans us Jesus that we may shine bright where you have set us, at home, work, play, school, the things that you have revealed that I seek more that you, I give them to you, help me kill the sin, let me trust in you, in all things and live for you, and let me trust that you do love me God, as you said in your word, that your plan and why you made me, is why you made me, let me embrace that. (Not, the world, the flesh and the devil, - you can have it all and go to death, and have a runed life, even if you don’t know it.).

Oh, may this great news about Jesus, give us great joy in him, that our heart and mind will daily praise God, because of who Jesus is and what he did, (Life death of Jesus rise, coming back), and by the power of the Holy live the gospel out, living in Christ for people to see. Let us live it out…
