Into- story about woman with cancer for 30 days
Genesis 3:8-15 (ESV)
8 And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the LORD God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” 11 He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” 12 The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.” 13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
14 The LORD God said to the serpent,“Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. 15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel.”
1. Relationship with God - Obedience Keeps Us In Blessing
1. Relationship with God - Obedience Keeps Us In Blessing
Adam and Eve believed the oldest trick in the book. God was holding out. They began to believe there was better in their own will.
Don’t hold out on God and He won’t hold out on you. God created marriage and He knows how to fix, maintain and improve it.
Obey Him and His instructions. When God is first everything else will add up.
God created man to follow Him and the woman to follow the man as He follows God.
2. Rejoicing and celebrating our differences - Reminds us of what we have

1 Peter 3:5-7 “For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening. Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.”
Adam and Eve started to look at what they didn’t have and took for granted what they had. THE WHOLE GARDEN.
Celebrate what you have. (Jill’s experience with counseling a young woman.) Celebrate and appreciate your mate as often as possible.
They married for a reason. Enjoy God’s provision together. He’s given us more than enough.
3. Responsibility, Accepting Personal Responsibility -
3. Responsibility, Accepting Personal Responsibility -
Empowers us to improve anything and everything. Be the person God can trust with His best.
Neither Adam nor Eve accepted responsibility. Eve blamed the snake. Adam blamed Eve and God
Before Daniel would rule a nation, he had to rule himself. He had a made up mind.
This is especially important for the husband. He has the greater responsibility. We are responsible for our relationship. It only takes one to change things.
Remove excuses,
repent for bad behavior.
Be respectable and respectful
Love when they are unlovable.
