INTRODUCTION:

How do we respond...

How do we respond to God when we do not understand?
How do we respond to God when we do not receive what we had prayed for?
How do we respond to God when what we believed did not happen?
How do we respond when people die in faith, much too early?
GOD’S WORD SAYS:
Hebrews 11:13–16 ESV
13 These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. 14 For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. 15 If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.

We must remember the faith of those who believed ‘til the end of their life here.

Hebrews 12:1 ESV
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
CONCLUSION:

We must keep looking to Jesus

Hebrews 12:2 ESV
2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
